1991 TPI Hard starting???

Hi guys, just having real issues trying to figure this out.

I am driving 1991 z28 conv. 5.0 tpi automatic, everything stock platform.

It's having a hard timing starting, but it will start once I feather the throttle. If it warms up it will stay on but other wise die and continuously have hard to start issues. The car runs fine otherwise.

I check fuel pressure , I am getting spark, checked ohms on injectors and voltage to injectors, cleaned throttle body, base timing is 6 deg btdc.
I replaced distributor, idle air control valve, o2 sensor, control module, cap rotor, plugs , wires, coolant temp sensor, replace and checked tps, new battery, and starter.

Now what do I do ?

Any codes? Timing set correctly? When it doesn't want to start, does it turn over hard? Make any rude noises?

Base timing is set at 6 degrees btdc. no codes, no check engine light, no extra noises, cranks over real nicely.

What is your fuel pressure? When was the last time fuel filter was changed? I would ensure fuel filter is not clogged by taking it off and trying to blow through it.What was the the Ohms resistance on the injectors? Just throwing it out there.

Re: 1991 TPI Hard starting???

Buddy, I recently had the SAME issue w/ my 92RS. I swapped out the Plugs & threw in a MSD Street-Fire Ignition Coil and BAM no more hard starting. Now addressing the fact we have to press the accelerator peddle....Im at a loss. your thoughts?!?

Re: 1991 TPI Hard starting???

And help me understand how you Reset the IAC? I was only able to remove it and clean it w/ BPC or Carb Cleaner... It seemed to do the trick however I ran out of cleaner so the cleaning was half assed. I will be cleaning it fully this evening and will post an update. Let me know what you find...
