Fuel pressure regulator
Would putting a fuel pressure regulator on my car add any hp? I read somewhere else on this sight if u push the pressure up higher u can get more torque and hp. I think they test it on a 350. If it would help how do I do that and where would I put it?

Well I'm getting my car back tomarrow with the 3.4 with a dynomax super turbo and no cat. I got a CAI, msd, plugs, wires, and ignition and coil. So I dunno it was just an idea if it helps performance expecially with my new 3.4.
thanx

From one that knows.
Get it dialed in.
Forget changing the fuel presure regulator. It'll do nothing.
Just make sure your fuel pump works!
Josh, wait until you start to drive your conversion and then tell me you want to go faster.
Be patient.
I only wish I could be there for the first ride.
You'll $hit in your pants!
Again, from one that knows!
PS THOSE 50 FOOT BURN OUTS REALLY MAKE YOUR DAY!

It should give you a little extra kick in the but. As far as exactly how much I have no idea, but even on a completely stock engine uping the feul presure will give you a little more juice. The more mods you the more you will feel.
When ever you are building up a car you should build up a good fundation first. So that all major mods will give you a larger bennifit. This includes a free flowing exhuast and air intake system, a nice healthy and strong ignition system, a good feul delivery system, and most importantly safty features. Like better brakes and supension, you want to be able to stop all of your extra power and be able to handle the car.
After that if you add a cam, rockers, etc you will get even more bang for your buck.

Not to say, not true., but,
Once you start driving this completed reliable dialed in 3.4 swap, you have no need to think adding any speed parts.
The 3.4 swapped car is like a freight train and it pins ya into the seat.
Really.
I know.
Just missing my ride because of a lousy in tank fuel pump.

I did that to my 91 after replacing the pump. took 2 days with the car on the ground and my G/F B*tching the entire time. I know you can get away with less then 2 feet, but I just played it safe. The hardest thing was finding the plug. I finally found one at napa for a tractor. its about 4 1/2 inches accross.

Woah- you're getting the car back with it's fresh 3.4 swap? Take it easy on that motor at first; how long was it "out of service"? Change the oil/filter soon after getting it back.. maybe a day or two?
I don't think adding an AFPR will help; you'd need something major like headwork to benefit the most from an AFPR.

well its got like 70 k on it which isnt too bad especially compared to the 160k on my 2.8. They replaced the oil filter and everythign on it I got new wires, timing chain, gaskets and seals, new belts and a really good little tuneup and everything. I'm giving it the weekend to break in a little just to get the oil pumping around then I'm hauling *** in the thing so I can kick some ***** *** .
