No Fuel To Rail
What are some things i should look out for why there isnt fuel going to the rail??
I have a new fuel pump, new fuel filter, no blown fuses, the relays are good, i have no vats..
Can it be the injectors??
i am lost lol i dont even know how to start

Re: No Fuel To Rail
Have you tested the fuel pressure with a pressure gauge or cracked open the schrader valve to see if you have fuel at the rail and correct fuel pressure of about 38-42 lbs? The injectors are fed fuel from the rail so they will not work if there is no fuel pressure. The fuel pump should prime for 2 seconds or so when you turn on the ignition without going all the way to the start position. You should hear it prime.
What have you changed lately before the problem started?

Make sure you hear that fuel pump prime. Check the fuses for the pump and assure you have voltage to the pump first. There easy things to check first off.

Re: No Fuel To Rail
Mark RWC i do not get any fuel to the rail, i have tried cranking it before with the valve off and there isnt any fuel there... & 38-42lbs?? isnt that a bit too much...i thought it was around 21lbs
It does prime when i switch the ignition on...fuses are good...i should check for voltage....

Re: No Fuel To Rail
38-42pounds is correct for our V6 fuel injected cars. My 88 runs about 40 pounds.
If the pump primes, check and see if it is pumpimg anything to the fuel filter. You should able to open the fuel line coming in to the fuel filter under the car. Then turn the key on and see that the pump is sending fuel to the filter. Maybe the filter is clogged if you are lucky.
Since you hear the pump prime and your fuses are good it would seem like you have voltage to the pump. You could double check the 3 wire connector in front of the tank for 12VDC. When you turn the key on 12 VDC is available but it will only be there for a couple of seconds. Make sure the voltage is not low or below 12 volts.
If you do not see fuel at the filter incoming connection you can work your way back to the tank. There is one other connection between the tank and the filter connection. Maybe the sock on the pump inside the tank is clogged of something is loose on the pump.
Have you or someone else done anything to the feul system recently? You mentioned the pump is new.

Re: No Fuel To Rail
37-47 PSI is factory spec, period.
Check to make sure that the fuel filter isn't installed backwards first. There is an arrow on it.
Then you get to start disconnecting fuel lines...
