Anyone ever use this cowl hood?

I need to get a new hood to fit my Stealth Ram and with over 10K in motor and trans this year, money is now kinda tight and this caught my eye cause the price is right, but don't wanna get anything where the quality won't be accecptable. Any opinions on the quality of the product and/or seller would be great. I gotta make a move on a hood real soon.

That is a 4" cowl. Do you want that tall of a hood? I would think a 2.5" cowl would give you room for the Stealth Ram and still look good.

Well I wanted to get a Ram Air II hood but one vendor says that they provide 2inches of clearance and I'm trying to run this filter.

Maybe you could email that pic to some of the hood manufactures and see what they say would work. I got mine from www.tokenfiberglass.com and it was supposed to be a 3.5 inch cowl but as you can see in my sig pic it isn't. I had to use the biggest drop down base I could find to fit under it.

i was gonna put a pic of my cowl hood on my firbird.... but i have no good pic of it... trust me, a 2 1/2 cowl is more than enough, i run a 3" aircleaner, a drop base, holley carb, 1" spacer, and a victor jr intake and with the drop base it clears by over a 1/2" in the front!

I talked to my body shop. They have been doing alot of cars lately with cowl hoods. They have seend a few ebay hoods and the Unlimited Fiberglass ones. They said the customers tried to save money and spent almost as much as the hood cost in labor trying to prep the surface to match the quality of the rest of the car's finish. He said that ever Harwood that has come through the shop was nearly ready topaint out of the box, 30 mins of prep at the most. So for a few bucks more for a Hardwood and you could save enough on the paint prep to buy a spare hood!?!

www.glasstek.com

body shops recommend these hoods in my area for little to no prep work as well.

30 minutes from my house....naperville, IL

not sure if it's the same ones on ebay out of naperville, since it doesn't say "Glasstek hoods"

check my sig link for my glasstek hood.

Merry christmas!!!

I'd say that's a Glasstek hood, but the ebay ad not done by Glasstek. I have one and love it. I didn't require any mods to get it to fit right. I also lived in Naperville at the time, so I picked it up at thier shop.

Those guys are pretty cool too.

Pics in sig links.

Well I compared the address and they appear to not be the same people.
