What do you guys think about the TPIS Mini Ram?

I know it is #1 by flow tests and all, but how hard is it to install, how well does it work all together?

From what I hear they are pudry good for top end HP =) The catch is tho that you have to buy all the fuel rails and stuff from TPIS.

I think it is awesome! TRAX and I are putting together a long technical article about it that we will be posting in the tech section. We both have it and can offer good suggestions on what to do, what to use with it that will work well.

I am replacing my Super Ram with a Mini Ram. I had to take the heads off to rebuild them and didn't feel like F**king with that damn super ram anymore, so I bought a mini ram.
http://firehawk.cmcmfg.com/~east/ste...s/DSC00001.JPG

I am not changing anything else on the motor, not even the cam. The dyno results in my sig are with the super ram. In the coming months, I will dyno it again with the mini ram and once-and-for-all end the SR Vs. MR debate. This is on a naturally aspirated street driven 350.

Stay Tuned

Steve...Be sure and post the whole Rpm range if you can. IM interested to see how the midrange changes. From the dyno tests ive seen you should pickup around 10-15 horses on the top with the 219 cam. The lowend should stay about the same with a loss in the midrange. They where all N/A motors though.

I have the LPE 219/219 cam with 1.6rr for .560/.560 lift.

I realize that the mini ram would do better with more duration, but I don't have the money to buy another cam.

My performance thirdgen book tested a 350 corvette engine and printed the results stock vs mini-ram. Book says stock 350 with 1/7/8 dyno heads. This is short version they list 2000rpm start 5250stop in 250rpm intervals. I can more numbers if needed but this should be good.

Stock:Peak hp=242.3at4250rpm
2000rpm=120.6hp,2500=155.5,4000=238.5,
4500=241.3,5250=216.1

Miniram:Peak hp=311.5at5250
2000=116.0,2500=149.8,4000=259.0,4500=288.3,
5250=311.5

Sorry for the long post.

I ran faster and quicker with ALL my combos with the Mini-Ram over my SuperRam. Blown and N/A versions of 355 and 383...

here are the graph for both the MR and SR on my 383. Nothing else was changed. I was running the 85 ECM. they dont give much scan dat but take the mode fairly well. I was running the same custum chip for both. The sr is bare to install each time. The first time for the miniram was a little extra work . now that its setup it can be removed in a half hour try that with a superram. As for the 1/4. My times were so very close. I ran 12.0 with both setups. O verall I would not trade off the miniram. I love it.
Superram dyno.

miniram dyno-Sorry for the cutoff. But you can still see the overall figures.

The mini ram has no EGR provision, so it isn't legal.
