im on the edge of my seat to find out if the rumor that the C6 Z06 is going to have Ti rods......

if it does, it paves teh way for cheaper Ti rods for all of us.... (well, thoes of us with LS1s swapped in)....

hopefully in a few years, lightweight pistons, cranks and Ti rods will become as normal as aftermarket cast stroker cranks are today.....

eagle is overrated. ive heard too many horror stories about them and scat, both of which are made overseas, where they have lower metallurgy standards

Yeah I run the Eagle Cast 383 kit.

Oh, and have no problems at all with it.

Been flogged on the dyno, taken to the track, and of course gets a beating on the street.

Oh well.................................

i seen numerous sources that the Z06 has Titanium rods. could mean that ti rods will be made more so price will go down.

but 3 grand is alot of money and a good set of $700 lunati's or manley's forged rods will take all the power a majority of cars out there will run.

I have used a scat crank made 450hp at the tires on motor and used a 275hp nitrous kit on it also. Car ran 11.08 on motor and 9.68 at 140mph on nitrous. neve had a proublem out of it. this is a scat L9000 series. I've also herd of a few ford people using these products with turbos and having good results. Also put a 355ci motor together for a buddy with the eagle rods car runs 11.7 on moter and 10.25 at 135mph on nitrous. with no proublems. I will say this motor did just suffer some piston damadge due to running lean.I used the trw 2256 forged pistons in that motor. He was on a budget I also used a auto zone .010 .010 castcrank in that motor. Crank rods and block are all reusable hurt three pistons.
