Mini starter

Hey guys,

I have Hooker Long Tubes and an aftermarket oil pan. I purchased a pro-comp mini starter from Ebay, and regardless of how you clock the starter the solenoid will not clear the oil pan. Which aftermarket starters are you guys running?

Re: Mini starter

I use a Powermaster XS starter for 168 tooth flywheels, and it fits fine between hooker super comps my oil pan. It's small enough for me to slip it between the frame and the headers and install the starter with the headers and exhaust bolted up.

Re: Mini starter

Just an update, I purchased the proform mini starter, it bolts right up. The thing is TINY! I can rotate it 360* between my kicked out oil pan and my hooker super comps. Very impressed .

Re: Mini starter

Im using the gm high torque starter. It can handle up to 11:1 compresion and comes with a bow tie one there! I am very happy with it and would recommend it.
