transmissioncenter.net hmm...

Well I ordered a speedo gear from these guys. The price was $11.00.

The product was exactly what I needed however the shipping was ridiculous. It says they ship and you pay actualy shipping via fed ex, ups, usps their choice. I paid $10.00 for the shipping of a 2ounce gear that could have been stuffed in a bubble envelope with 1 stamp on it.

I was ripped off in shipping. On top of that it took over a week to recieve the gear.

in conclusion, Yes the product was great, shipping was higher than advertised and slow. Feedback. Neutral/ Negative. I will cease further business with this company due to insufficient customer satisfaction.

i have to agree i had the same experience, but its hard to find certain parts so it was acceptable to me. they probably charge for handling as well as shipping in that 10$

If there is a handling fee it should be advertised. The shipping is not even shown until it shows up in your account.

First impressions are everything, and my business goes elsewhere for transmission parts... period.

comany do it all the time, they do that that cuz internet sales cut into there "brick n morter" sales, they do that to recoup ther over head (utilities and the like, hell, most company on ebay for exmpl sell a product at there cost and gain there profit margin back on shipping, also I would be willing to bet that the same part would be 22 clams if you would have walked in the store and bought it! the internet is cool but it does hurt retail stores. cuz retail stores have bills to pay, internet conglomerates do not!

what kind of speedo gear was it? for 700? drive or driven? either could be had at the dealer for less than $10.

I am glad your dealerships are well, however mine aren't. I cannot force anyone to order me something they refuse or cannot get.

a retail store such as the one mentioned, not the dealerships, dealer ships are "factory direct" and if the dealer ship was out of stock, they would pass some of the shipping fees down to the consumer, but dont get me wrong I`m not defending this company you speak of, ALL charges should be up front and not hidden!

I spent $1750 on that site and it was as good as any internet transaction can be expected to be. If you order stuff online expect to pay for handling fees. $10 seems like a average shipping and handling fee for a small item. I ordered a sticker kit once and it was $20... needless to say i wasnt too happy but i learned to expect exagerated handling charges.

I guess people are missing the big picture. If you have a $10.00 handling fee then advertise it. Summit has a $10.00 handling fee, but they advertise it. My invoice said actual shipping charges, and I know that small envelope with that small gear was not $10.00 since the 1 stamp on the envelope says other wise.

Hidden fees = bad business period.
