Year one Next gen is soooo expensive.

I cant understand why they even put out a special catalogue for 3rd genners if there going to mark everything up 100% over jegs or summit.
the only sense I can make is that they sell body and interior parts that no one else does. but still how does that justify their rediculous markups!
I think there nuts and should stick to parts for older resto cars.
just my two cents.

Yeah, they are insanely expensive... they are the same way with the old parts too. The reason their old car stuff is so expensive is that everything they sell is EXACTLY like the origional (or so year one claims.) Places like NPD, Paddock, and Classic Industries mostly sell parts that fit, and look right, but won't win a competion. I think all the Next gen stuff is the same way, (Ie. perfect) but no one cares about origionallity right now. Also, other than junk yards, and GM, you can't find a lot of those parts.

If you want the original body parts and interior parts they sell, buy them. For the parts that are available elsewhere, go elsewhere. They have decided on the mark up they want to make. If you don't like the prices, buy from someone else.

Ok, I keep hearing stuff about year one and next gen. Where can I get a catalogue? (Don't worry, I don't plan on buying a single thing from them )

I just use their catalogue as a reference and for information and then buy elsewhere.

Same here. They have good pictures and descriptions, so I look at it for ideas and such, then go find the part from someone reasonable.

You guys are right. The price of most of the items are very expensive, especially on 3rd gen. parts.
3rd gen.Carpet: $240
Classic Industries price is $139
Sometimes though, they have some items in stock that are hard to find elsewhere. So if you can find it somewhere else, buy it there.
