correct intake part# for HSR!?!
need to get the correct HSR intake gaskets so i can see if i have to add material to the intake runners for sealing... but ive got 2 diff part numbers...
its going on patriot performance 195cc aluminum heads
part numbers i got are
felpro performance
FPP-1206 .060 thick 1.34" x 2.21
FPP-1205 .060 thick 1.31" x 2.21
also how much does it cost for the addition of aluminum to the intake on average?

195cc heads should use the 1205. The 1206 is usually not called for until you get up at least to the 210-215 kind of range.
But check with the head mfr to be sure.
On the other hand, if you have heads that need a 1206, the HSR is probably not the right choice in the first place. If the intake port was big enough to service the flow that the heads are capable of, you wouldn't need to be enlarging the gasket flange, because the intake would be ..... ummmm ..... big enough.

Re: correct intake part# for HSR!?!
my head/cam/intake combo will be good to about 5500-6000 operating range in a 383. i matched everything so it would work. i just got conflicting part numbers from diff ppl and the gaskets are so close in port size i just wanted to be sure. the reason i ask is that the HSR intake has had problems sealing chevy style intake gaskets on tall port aftermarket heads. there is a thread on here sumwhere, where many ppl had to add aluminum to the intakes for proper sealing for aftermarket heads.
thanks tho for the response

you can visably tell the difference from a pre 1206 port HSR base and a post 1206 port HSR base... the pics wil show you. There is a lot more material on the later bases than the early ones.
and yes the patriot heads should be 1205
