Anyone hear about Accel intake problems?
Well, I have been looking into after market intake options (Multi-port style), and came across this bit of info. Someone may have posted it already, but I haven't seen it. Accel does not have anyone to make their intakes any longer. And as of right now their is no stock on the Super Ram...anywhere that I can find so far!! Looks like I get to start looking at other options like TPIS's set-up.
Re: Anyone hear about Accel intake problems?
This should really be in Alternative Port EFI Intakes. You'll find more info in there. If the Superram is in fact discontinued, you can look into other options, like you mentioned TPIS Miniram, or Holley Stealthram, or Various Single-Plane EFI setups.

Re: Anyone hear about Accel intake problems?
I really wasn't sure where to put it. Some of the topics/threads have labels that do not do their subjects justice. Like here...DFI...Accel even calls their set-up DFI (when you use their software anyways)
As for the intake, I don't think think it has been disco'd. They just have not found a source to make them yet.
Mods, please move this thread to where you think it should be.

I moved the thread to the Alternative Port EFI Intakes board. The DFI & ECM board is more about the computer side of things.

I thought Accel was using the Edelbrock intake manifold.

According Lingenfelter Performance, the runners are the item out of stock, and as of about last May (2007), a casting facility willing/wanting to manufacture the runners had not been selected. I haven't called LPE or Accel recently.
