LT1 intake swap

Hi!

I have started modifying a LT1 intake for my SB. Can i drill the water outlets in the rear?

As I see it will not make any diffrenence or am I wrong ?

You mean drill the rear for the water fittings for the remote thermostat?

Yes, you have to, because if you run a new style throttle body, the cable arm crashes into the water fitting.

what are the benifits of doing this swap? does the LT1 have that much more top end to go with the swap?

I will be using megasqirt to control it and my fuel. It seems pretty straight forward to do.

What problems have they been having with it?

ey I preciate the link pocket, I'm waiting to ive the intake now. already got a full lt1 t56 conversion but my other is a 383 tpi, seems to pull good up to 5000rpm then on its face it falls full exhaust with high flow cat, thinking ns bout ditching cat, we have no emissions, left on in case I sell it. headers also have air tubes drilled and welded on
