Import "Predator" engine pic

Here is my 350 that I have been working on for the last half year or so as far as developing and building, finally dropped in. I have not taken it to the track yet to see what the final results will be. I also need to locate a dyno machine in my area to get it tested. Not sure how accurate the desk top dyno program really is. If it is close, I should hit around 400hp around the 6000rpm range.
The main reason I built this engine is to race the import guys around here that have added nitrous systems to their cars and think they are fast. I want to give them a good taste of REAL muscle.

Just make sure you know who you're messin with... most imports are a joke, but there are one or two out there that will teach you a lesson.

Usually the amount of rice on an import is directly inverse to the HP. If you see a clean looking import that sounds mean, think twice.

I have killed so much rice in the last few days it's not even funny.

Please do yourself a favor and take that aircleaner off. Those filters are now legendary for melting/catching fire/falling apart. A buddy of mine had his come apart 3 weeks after his engine was installed and running. It sucked most of it down into the engine. We're still not sure if it all made it out the exhaust.

Just warning you...hate to see a fresh rice-killing machine die because of a crappy filter.

Better believe that...the people who got it don't usually brag about it, they just kick your butt.

I second the idea to replace the air cleaner. I used to have one of those but they flow like *** and do have a tendancy to fall apart. Autozone sells a 14X3" Edelbrock drop base open element chrome air cleaner that will fit under the stock hood unless you have a really tall intake manifold. Its part number 1207 from edelbrock. Thats the one I got on my car now. Lol, I sound like a salesman for edelbrock.

I had one of those air cleaner too on my 302 Stang, until it backfired once, right into the carb it went.

Thanks for the heads up on the air filter guys, I will definitely replace it. I am not too worried about trying to fit an air cleaner beneath the hood, that one sticks completely out of the hood anyway. I was looking into a K&N filter so you guys just made up my mind. Thanks.

About the ricers, there are a couple here that are pretty tough. Every Fri. night there are races in town and it seems that there is this one Prelude that takes it all every week. He is running a twin turbo set-up and has nitrous on top of that. This guy knows his stuff. Only saw him lose one time...to a Corvette! It was wonderful to see!
