will any of the Z-06 17"x9.5",18"x9.5", or 18"x10.5" rims fit on a third gen?

i think so, with the right wheel spacers, you can buy Z06 rims in chrome and they look badass.

Iroc rims weighing 40lbs each? Hmm, are you talking with the tire? I know the last one I bought (nasty run-in with a curb) didnt have a tire on it, and I could pick it up with two fingers. Probably weighed 10lbs at the most, I dont know exactly how much, but it seemed pretty light.

I'm thinking the Z06's will probably weigh just a tad more, since the are a little bigger. Not for sure.

that weight has to be with tires mounted, no way a bare 16" weighs 40 lbs. The Z06 rims are lighter than the regular C5 wheels though I have no numbers to share. I didn't know there were two different widths for the 18 inch rim. The front wheels on C5s are 17" and the rears are 18". Therefore, all 18 inch Z06 rims should be the same width unless an aftermarket company makes a different width.

It seems to me that you want to put 18X10.5 all around? I don't think you can do that, expecially in the front due to clearance problems. I know a couple of people on this board have the ZR1's that are 17X11 in the rear and they have to use special spacers. the same will go for the Z06 rims. As for the Z06 rims being light hell yea they are light. What is the point of having a heavy A$$ rim on a sick handeling car? well anyway if my computer is working tomorrow I will post a link to where they sell spacers for those rims. I spoke with the guy who owns the co. and he did not recommend anything wider then the 9.5. i kept asking him about the 17X11 zr1 rims (same backspacing as the z06) and he had 2 different offsets a high and a low he totaly confused the $hit out of me. I will post the link tomorrow. The guy is reall quick to get back to you.

Here give this guy an email and let him know what you want to do. he also sells the spacers you need so the rims fit like they should. See if you can understand what the high and low offset is? If there is anything else let me know.

hope that helps. I think i got the link form somewhere on this board.

Sho,
No problem. I am trying to piece some of my interior and have gotten nothing but help fromt he people here at least I can help a little. You may also want to check out preformancewheeloutlet.com I think that is the name. They have really good prices on rims. One of the cheaper sites I have seen Z06 rims. Or go to Corvetteforum.com and check in the forum under C5 parts for sale or wanted. I always see Z06 rims in there for really cheap some even come with tires. Corvetteforum.com also has a mall where you can search for parts you want they have a bunch of preformance site inks that give discounts to corvetteforum members. Worth checking out. Well worth it.
$1,195 for a setof 4 chrome z06 rims
http://store.yahoo.com/corvetteforum/corofhous5.html
check out this example of how low the rim and tire combo is on the for sale section
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=295442
Well worth checkingout every day or every other day.

Well the one link above has a set of 4 for $1,195. that is about $80 you save if you were to get them from preformancewheeloutlet. I think they are the place that give you $100 if you order a set of 4 right? Even if you get them from there you still ahve to pay for shipping and you could use that $80 towards shipping depending on where you live. You should really check out the for sale section every once in a while. they allways have excelent deals. Also you may want to check ls1.com classified section. I dont see a lot of zo6 rims on there but they are there.

ls1.com....hmmm...didnt even think about that...ill give that a try tonight. the $80 i would save on the tires might not be worth it depending on the shape of the tires compared to new ones....and also im looking for the polished silver rims if i can find polished silver lugs...hehehe im not a very big fan of chrome z-o6s, or the price hehehehe....but if i cant find the polished silver lugs to go with the polished rims...i guess ill just have to go with chrome...thanks again for all the help and info twiztid

hey

i just got my z06's the other day which have a +53 offset. I was going to see what they looked like but realized they didnt even mount on my car thats how big the offset is. So spacers ? 2 inch all around or what?

im gunna use a 275/35/18 tire in the front like kand.

and a 295/35/18 tire in the rear, i like the stance it gives kand. lol sorry to use your tire combo but it makes other people life easier thanks man!

but back to spacers? what should work perfect. i also want to drop my car down as far as i can.

their 18's 10.5 in rear 9.5's in front, thanks for any help

also i have the option to roll my fender lip. should i? if so just the rear or what?

sean
