A weekend wash w/ friends

I spent the weekend cleaning the car as well as my buddy's car...as well my other buddy's car...here are some pics (and yes, *** willing, the hood is getting painted this summer) I used the Meguiers 3 step wax and good lord does it do a good job!

maybe its just me, but I like how your car looks w/ the black hood. Reminds me of the older muscle cars w/ black hoods, roofs, trunks, and the rest of the body painted....

what does everyone else think??

How can you see with that cowl? I have a 2 5/8" on my T/A and it is difficult to see out of, and Im 6' 2". Anyways, I like the double color too, and the cowl gives you the extra clearence to run stuff you need. Like me with my intake manifold and 4" air cleaner. With the two color, maybe painting the spoiler black would look nice too. Tint the windows, whole nine yards.

Ok then..so everyone LIKES the black on red? I'm going away to Arizona in two weeks and was planning on getting the hood painted while i was away. So i'm asking you guys for your opinions, i was just gonna get it painted red and be done w/ it but should i just keep it black and just give it a nice base black and a clear? Cause once this is done, theres no going back. I'm also considering ordering a high rise spoiler to throw on as long as i'm painting stuff. Give me your opinions and any other ideas on how it should be painted would be great too (in terms of color or whatever). OH, and 84TA, the hood really does not hinder my vision in the least bit surprisingly

If it were mine I'd paint the hood to match the rest of the car.

Yes, thank you smart *** The hood will have a purpose come the end of this summer. The new 350 will be going in so it WILL have a purpose. But yes, I do get comments about why i got such a big hood. I think it just looks baddass and i figure why not 4 inches? Yea, thats right

I agree my friend. Keeping just the cowl black like that sets the cowl apart much better than just all black or all red. While it might be a more expensive job to do, it is VERY worth it. If I saw that comin up in my rear view mirror I'd be scared to try and mess w/ you

Kessler, the hood came in the black. I havent touched it aside from putting it on. I THINK i payed under 400 for it, got it from Glasstek, great company. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
