LOOKS GREAT especially with the lights on, these are the front turn siganl lenses right, I would put white / "cool" blue bulbs in their..... thats what I have in mine and it looks good, I'm sure it is illegal but 2 years and no hassle from the law about mine... especially with your white car!

Here is a link to Willie's homepage showing his home made front turn signal lens. He gives info on how to do it.

Thanks for the kind responses. Ill get all the step by step info/pics setup for a tech article very soon. I was afraid they would look ***** but they turned out nice. The black background behind the lens even has the same pattern as the nose grilles(horizontal lines). Ill post pics of my 91/92 GTA taillights that have the colored lenses removed(they look awesome too). Take care, STEVE Z

RSFreak. Some of your techniques are very similar to what I did. Great job on your camaro lights. Ill get a tech article made up very soon to outline how I did it. Time consuming/patience but the end result is very cool. STEVE Z

I may sound kinda dumb about suggesting/asking this.......but how about attempting it on the fog lamps??? Can it be done? has it been attempted before? Or woud it be a bad idea cause of the high watt power let off by the blub that it can ruin/melt the plexiglas??? Just a thought
By the way awesome job on the lens

Thanks, but I can't take credit for those. They belong to Willie, he moderates the Restoration board and can often be found on the Power Adder board ( his IROC has an ATI blown 305! )

You should buy whats called titanium bulbs. Their a new product that came out. What special you ask? well the bulb looks silver on the outside. So if your lense is clear like that it will be like you dont even have a bulb. Cause the bulb will blend with the mirror housing. But when it flashes it flashes amber. And the amber that it flashes is alot nicer then the amber of normal amber bulbs. Just letting you guys know. Cause having a clear lense and a amber bulb just sitting htere. Doesnt look right. You can get them from any "rice boy" shop or company.

nah its all cool man. Seriously I dont really totally mind when people say I'm a rice boy. but I hate it when they constantly and constantly attack and attack me. Talking **** about the car, about me, etc. Like on the Z28 wing topic. I try to help the guy out with info. And suddenly 3+ people being to start talking **** about me and my car. Or the thread about the peopel givng me congrats cause I got into Car&driver. And then people started hating on me getting hte thread closed....its just getting kinda old.

I think whatever you do to your car is your own business, like I stated above and I think Revlimit knows, I was just kidding. He left himself wide open and I had seen a previous thread in which some guys were calling his car rice. No disrespect intended.

Question for RSfreak...

RSfreak, this quote is from the above article:

Then I grind off the existing plastic lens, remove the plastic "diffuser" located just behind the lens, then level off the surface used to glue my new lens onto. I use 1/8" clear plexiglas, which I cut to fit the GM assembly, then score three (or four) horizontal lines on the inside surface for that "high tech" look. You can just see this in the pic
Just wondering if I could get a little bit of clarification as to what is meant by "scoring" three or four lines on the inside surface. I'm just about done my first light (I used fresh chrome metallic paint instead of buying new lamos, it actually looks pretty good) but I can't make out the "lines" in the photos from the article. Can you help me out?
