I'd rather get performance parts to increase times than remove everything from my car.

I remember seeing a mag about that, on the cover it said lose 2 secs off your ET for free. When they were done, looked like they were driving a go kart. What losers.

I actully looked through an import magazine the other day. Because they're "big" story was how to make your car 2sec faster in teh 1/4. Well they added a muffler, wing and injectors. Took off .3, and they said and I quote "While this isn't 2sec like we said we could get with a little tuning and some suspesion adjustments we can get very close." and i was like"right" what are these ricers coming to? 2sec and remove all the body, or advertise 2sec off and not even get it? WTF!!!

Anybody here remember when Hot Rod did the same thing (twice)? The first car was a big old early 70s Caddy, with like a 472 or 500...if I remember correctly they dropped several seconds, eventually getting it down to 11s!!! They did a big Pontiac a few years later, and didn't do as well, but the 455 was a little sick if I remember correctly. I doubt either car cost more than $300, so no big loss (they probably bought them for the engines anyway), but why in the heck would someone take ANY newer car and cut it to pieces like that???? You can prove a point without wasting $15k.
