Hey what do you guys think of our cars.... the grey one is tomster03's 88 sport coupe he has a 388 stroker in it with a th350 tranny, and the black one is my 86 z28 with a 406 small block, t-5 trans

thanks guys... We dont know for sure which one is faster yet but my black Z28 with the 406 should be ive got more camshaft and more cubes than toms grey 388. We are hopefully headed to the race track this wed night so we will let you guys know what hapens. If there is anyone from the ohio area let us know we are wanting to get a meet together at our local drag strip.... Norwalk Dragway in norwalk ohio... very nice dragstrip it hosts world nationals, night under fire and other big events... it would be fun to cruise up there with about 10 or 15 other third gens if not more and see what they can do at the strip... that would def turn some heads rolling in there with a line of camaro's and firebirds.

KEv!!! we forgot the blue beast when we took them pic's.... lol i could see it in the background of the rear shot..... cant forget that one... as for who will beet who.. unless his tranny blows down the track kev's should smoke mine. this is the second time ive biult that motor and didnt go to extreams with it this time... Rv came 9:1 pistons it was Much MUCH faster the first time but, more street able this time the price of high octain fuel was killing me before..
ha the t-5 is holding up so far, cant say so much for the clutch though.... what are all you guys using..? i had a nice high performance one but my slave cylinder was bending my bellhousing because it could not compress my pressure plate so i had to take it back out.... haha nope not for sale yet im just starting to have fun with it although i would like to sell it sometimes

Oh, so that's your car! I already complimented you on that in another thread. I like how it is all black and there is just that bright motor sitting in there, nice!
it is undercoating with flat black engine paint over top of it..... and the picture of the tom's motor was the first day we drove it and he blew a tranny line.. thats what all the tranny fluid is doing all over the engine.. sorry tom i dont have any good engine pics of your car.

I got that Ram Air II hood off of usbody.com it fit surpizenly well for a aftermarkey fiborglass hood. they left extra meteral on the sides and front of the hood so you could shave it off to fit. the scoops came closed and went hard at all to open. they sell the kit to make it funtional for like 90 bucks. but i cant remember where i saw it at. that price dont include filter. I really dont know why the hoop is where it is i was wondering that my self lol you'll have to talk to kev on that one....we will have to see about getting some better pics with out the trees, dog, and basket ball hoops in the way... you guys are real picky about that...

its eather 10 or 15 dollars to race there.. and like kev said... It would be a blast to get a bunch of third gens up there to race.. maybe have a cook out in the pit area or somthin.. there is alot of room there to do what ever...
when they had inport nationals all the inports parked there cars and drank out side the hotel brakers in norwalk it was a slick sight to see. we roled threw in my camaro just to tease them alittle.. i was thinking if people come from a distance we all could do that and crash at the hotel
LOL tom sorry we need to clean up the engine carpments next and take some pics up on the hill so nothing is in the background... lol yeah klayburn that would be cool send us an email or instant message us when you plan on coming up, we are always out cruising around looking for stuff to do. Yeah that basketball hoop hasnt had a basketball hit it for about 4 years dont ask why its still up....

Hey guys love the cars, I'm thinking about the ram air hood! Klayburn, my car is the same color, bright teal metallic "wa9238". I wish I could post a picture of my car, but it's in major need of paint! It has the GM paint defect! I'm losing paint on the hood and on the roof, badly! I want to get the car painted w/ more metallic and a brighter teal! I think that would look awesome w/ a ram air hood! I wonder if the filter kit for the ram air would pass inspection? Doesn't the filter have to be covered? I guess I could always do the switch-a-roo when I go for inspection!
