thanks guys... We dont know for sure which one is faster yet but my black Z28 with the 406 should be ive got more camshaft and more cubes than toms grey 388. We are hopefully headed to the race track this wed night so we will let you guys know what hapens. If there is anyone from the ohio area let us know we are wanting to get a meet together at our local drag strip.... Norwalk Dragway in norwalk ohio... very nice dragstrip it hosts world nationals, night under fire and other big events... it would be fun to cruise up there with about 10 or 15 other third gens if not more and see what they can do at the strip... that would def turn some heads rolling in there with a line of camaro's and firebirds.

Oh, so that's your car! I already complimented you on that in another thread. I like how it is all black and there is just that bright motor sitting in there, nice!

On the black car is that like a rubberized paint in the engine bay or is it some flat black paint?

I got that Ram Air II hood off of usbody.com it fit surpizenly well for a aftermarkey fiborglass hood. they left extra meteral on the sides and front of the hood so you could shave it off to fit. the scoops came closed and went hard at all to open. they sell the kit to make it funtional for like 90 bucks. but i cant remember where i saw it at. that price dont include filter. I really dont know why the hoop is where it is i was wondering that my self lol you'll have to talk to kev on that one....we will have to see about getting some better pics with out the trees, dog, and basket ball hoops in the way... you guys are real picky about that...
thanx for the comploments tho

norwalk drag strip isnt stricked on how old you have to be ive seen 15 year olds race it depends on what class your getting in to. they evon have a highschool division on wensdays, to go in the high school division you have to have a street legal car.. they really dont check anything tho just as long as you dont role in with open heders and slicks ;-)
its eather 10 or 15 dollars to race there.. and like kev said... It would be a blast to get a bunch of third gens up there to race.. maybe have a cook out in the pit area or somthin.. there is alot of room there to do what ever...
when they had inport nationals all the inports parked there cars and drank out side the hotel brakers in norwalk it was a slick sight to see. we roled threw in my camaro just to tease them alittle.. i was thinking if people come from a distance we all could do that and crash at the hotel

Hey guys love the cars, I'm thinking about the ram air hood! Klayburn, my car is the same color, bright teal metallic "wa9238". I wish I could post a picture of my car, but it's in major need of paint! It has the GM paint defect! I'm losing paint on the hood and on the roof, badly! I want to get the car painted w/ more metallic and a brighter teal! I think that would look awesome w/ a ram air hood! I wonder if the filter kit for the ram air would pass inspection? Doesn't the filter have to be covered? I guess I could always do the switch-a-roo when I go for inspection!
