Project Car Done (almost) Lots of Pics.
Here it is. Practically everything in the car has been upgraded or replaced. The only things I have left to do are the suspension, new carb and intake, and a little nitrous (ehh why not). The engine is pretty well built, I bought it new, It puts out about 350 HP, but I know the stock Q-jet and intake is a little restricting. This car was origionally a $600 junk that was hit in the rear. My dad is a professional welder so he took care of all of that. Everything done on the car was done by myself and my father through my highschool years. Im a sophomore in college now. It was a nice project. I know I need to lower it. When I took out all the A/C and emissions stuff, the front got really jacked up. I'm looking at ground-control adjustable height spring kits. They look pretty cool. Well anyway, I hope to bring it to the track this spring, It has alot of power, its easy to smoke the 275 tires and it pins you to the seat when I step on it. I havent posted many things on these boards, but I did use ALOT of information to help with restoring this car. Opinions of anything is appreciated, Thanks. O yea... When I said almost done, I didnt really mean it....I will always find something to do...

I want to eat your paint!
Seriously, how much did you pay for it? I have yet to see a red paintjob that looked THAT good until this day! It's perfect.
Nice work so far, What an awesome ride!

....other than that, you should be done....I'm not a big fan of the 3rd gen birds, but if you can get that suspension right (like what your saying with the back end slightly higher)....ohhh man...:hail:

Good Job!

Thanks alot for the complements I appreciate it. In response to Christos post, I would have to say the paint was a project in itself. I swear my dad and I painted the car about 3 times before we got it perfect. It cost about 1000-1200 in supplies. The prep work was the most time consuming. Went through about 3 stages of primer. I think I wetsanded it for a good week. One time, while painting one of the doors, the vent hole on the spray gun got clogged, and clearcoat exploded all over the car. Not fun. But eventually we got it right.
But yea, I dont take the car out unless its a nice sunny day, so it hasnt even seen rain, and it's garaged all winter, so that helps the paint stay nice.
I was definitely thinking of the eibach springs, but I think the ground control adjustable spring kits are cool, then I can set my ride height to where i want it, and they come with eibachs anyway. www.ground-control.com And I think I am going to get spohn LCA, have my dad weld up some relocation brackets, the adjustable panhead bar, and the adjustable torque arm.
As for tinting the windows, Thats just someting I never got to... I always drive around with the tops off and the windows down, so it was never really a priority, but it will get done this spring.

I don't really like the looks of ram air hoods, but on your car it looks really good ( im trying to figure out if I want to add a ram air hood or just make the trans am front vents functional; anyone seen that done before?)
