Pros eh? I can't think of one
Maybe dump those heads and get a pair of TPI 305 heads (very cheap) port them and do a 3 way cut on the valves. Those TBI heads are crap

good luck with clearance for one, and 2.5" is overkill for a 305 TBI. I'd go with 2.25" duals at most.
If you want my honest opinion, there are no pro's. Dump the TBI and look for a TPI motor. You can spend alot on a TBI and make it fast but a TPI with the same stuff will always be faster. For this reason I dont even waste time on my L03. The L03 was a good motor for getting me to point B and sounding good on the way, thats about it. I will be swapping the L03 out of my 90 RS pretty soon and a TPI motor is going in.

The 305 itself TPI or TBI is a boat anchor. Waste of money. But if u have to keep it. Might as well ditch those heads, swirl port design sucks and is a waste to work on, ditch the intake and ditch the cam. If ya gotta keep the tbi, go do the ultimate tbi mods, they are good and free up some sh*t. They make heads for the 305 from World Products. Grab a Edelbrcok Performer intake and an LT1 cam or hotter (don't go hotter then an LT1 though if ur gonna have stock heads, modified or not) and hope for the best. I know Holley makes aftemarket TBI's but u gotta make sure u don't flood your engine and over do it.
Go to my Modeval site in my sig. if u have any other questions. I got pics, part numbers, descriptions and do's and don'ts.
Your in for a long haul though if u want this to be a fast 305. Fastest 305 I have seen on here was a 12.1 and that was a 305 TPI that was decked out from head to toe (including the rear, tranny and suspension). and he had a S/C and a 75 shot. A lot to go thru to a run a 12.1 if u ask me.

If you want to keep the TBI i would sugges the following route cause it's the best way to go IMO, also it seems to stay together for a long time.....
That is a good start
- Gears & Posi
- LT1 Cam
- Exhaust & Cat
- Open Element Intake
- Intake Manifold
- Headers
- Ultimate TBI
That is a good start
