"One Owner Prototype", WTF is that?

Couldnt be that rare and be worth all that much if it was hit before.....or the guy wanted to rip off the 84 front end on it. Not to mention the fact......why would you want to go out and spend alot of money on a 4cyl firebird.........I mean...unless your a collector and everything....whats the use? Plus the body dont look in all that great of shape either.....and wheres the interior shots? My guess is this is a scam and the guys just looking to get more money.....thats why is going through an auction to begin with.

I believe Billsfirebird posted it before I did. I was at the library when I did it because I was looking at cars on ebay. By the time I saw the car I had to go in 2 minutes so obviously I did not look at he previous threads.

Hey now, not all 4 banger birds are bad.

This guy just doesn't know about firebirds. I doubt he's trying to scam anyone. He's just uniformed....a great deal.

I just had a funny idea... :sillylol:

2.5 Firebird + custom intake + custom stainless turbo exhaust manifold + a computer/harness/sensors and dist.-less ignition from a Beretta GTZ w/ quad 4. Use 2 or 3 bar map and it will run.

Hmmm... could be made out of all junkyard parts too...

OK I'm done daydreaming... :lala:

The frront nose on that came off of a firebird or a formula, starting around 1987 I think. I saw a 4 banger that had a four speed in the scrap yard! And yes some people are not to bright.

Actually the nose was standard on the base model firebirds starting in 1985. Its not too uncommon for early birds to have the new style nose on it due to body shops not having the correct nose available. Plus the new style nose is alot more prevelant than the 82-84.

85-90 were the years on the nose you see on the car I believe.

My firebird came with a 4 speed but the original owner put in a T5 out of an 83..... or so the "yellow" salvage yard marker states on the tranny.

I have a 4 speed shift pattern on my console plate.

I notice in the pic Billsfirebird attached that the battery is on the drivers side. Never noticed before.
Wonder why GM did this?
Is there something on the right side blocking the usual spot?
Any ideas?
V6's like this too?

Pacer.

The starter on my 4 banger is on the driver side. V6's and V8's have them on the passenger side.

My charcoal canister is on the passenger side where the battery would be in 6s and 8s

That car is so "rare" that the current bid is a whopping $102. Nice.
