i rearended someone today
i was on the way to the DMV to get my liscene renued when the traffic in front of me just came to a complete stop. even with the 235's up front, i just couldn't get it stopped in time. the van that i hit was ok, but it left a fist sized hole right underneath the driver's side headlight, from where the hitch punched through. it was completely my fault and i know that. it still sucks though, and i just repainted the front clip. now i have to get a completely new bumper cover and ground effects.

Look at it this way. At least your still here to tell us about it. Plus its only superficial damage. No damage to the frame is a good thing.

It's not the end of the world because it is fixable, even though it sucks that it happened. The worst thing that could happen to a thirdgen is 3 fold:
1. It disntegrates from years of rust, salt, moisture, and humidity
2. It is completely totaled beyond recognition
3. It blows up in flames.

That sucks big time. At least its nothing to serious, and its fixable. But some guys like us REALLY love our cars. Even one scratch on my car can ruin my day
In fact at the end of summer i came within about 1 foot of someone smashing the side of my car, thank *** he stopped it time. Id like to tell the whole story, maybe i'll make a new topic called "close calls" or something.

i don't recommend a fiberglass nose..... if you run in to something, the fiberglass won't hold up as well as a regular urethane nose would.
