I finally got pics of my car up

Finally. its been like 6 months but i finally got around to developin gmy digital camera. im gonna repeat post these pics in other areas as well cause some of the topics come up alot. if you notice my front clip is darker then the rest of the car thats because it was chipping over the summer really bad so i sanded it down really nice then repainted it the wrong color but ill redo that this summer or once it gets warmer then 0* (i hate detroit). anyway here goes it....

may i add some constructive criticism?

put the old wipers on........i don't know if those are chrome or not but that looks like something out of the "ghetto" or a first time drivers move.

fog lights are nice, the amber ones seem to throw off your car...i'd remove them for better airflow or at least put something that belongs. i've got two that have small minor cracks in them but i'd be happy to give them to you so it looks better.

polish or clean the wheels up....polished would look like you put some time into the car and it's cheap. really make an improvment to the ride.

purchase some cheap drop springs....100 through jc whitney or find some nice used eibachs.

parking lamps, remove them and clean them really good. use some plastic polish and when the look nice put them back. if they don't look nice let me know and you can have my originals. not as good as new, but alot better than what your dealing with. free is always good right!

lastly, use some touch up paint....if you can notice paint imperfections in those pictures i'm sure there are some really nice ones in person. pick up some paint and a toothpick and get to work. the car will look 100% better, especially in pictures.

windshield header.....? what is that.....?

most of these things are free or very inexpensive and will make your car really stand out. definately a car with some potential! be sure to bring her to some of the gatherings this year...

kandieds:

i plan on doing most of those mods. keep in mind i have only owned this since augest.

so far i have completly stripped and repainted the front clip. i have replaced the EGR, and cleaned the engine bay, new radiator, heater diverter valve. new power steering, new cruize control new rear shocks. i had to stop cause it started geting wayy too cold for me to work on it and i dont have a garage (that my dad will let me use ) The wipers i like cause i paid 7 bucks for them on clearence and they have two blades per wiper instead of one, but i will get new ones when i gotta replace them.

i have the sheet on how to remove the clear coat and polish the wheels in my garage on a list of things to do, along with polishing my plenium and ac condenser.

the entire car will soon be repainted once i replace the drives side door and rear quarter panel (rust) i will get it all painted either origional color or black and get the factory iroc decals for it. My Uncle owns a well known Pinstripping place in detroit (Sam Gambino's Pinstripping) and he said hell ghost flame it for me whenever i want.

the springs... i dont want to lower it. im sorry but i really dont liek the look of lowered cars. i will however when i get the money invest in some kyg shocks and struts and performance springs cause my current ones are almost shot.

I have a close friend with a powder coater so im gonna get them powder coated when i get them.

The Fog lights unfortunatly came with the vechicle when i bought it. I would gladly accept the fog lights you have because i did intend to buy new ones. my problem is i accidently grounded the fog light wires and i cant find the fuse to put it in (small project for the summer time).

Parking lamps, you stated it perfect free is better then nothing. i would gladly accept it and i will also make an attempt to clean them up thi ssummer.

as for the windshield header...K.C.U.F if i pull up behind you in my car, you look in your rear view mirror and see what? in reality it is a band i am managing. (Knowledgable College Underware Fiends) or at least thats what i tell cops. it was origionally put inplace to reduce the amount of sun that hits me when i drive to college (Wayne State University) every morning. the sun is brutal.

Gatherings. i promise i will make an attempt to attend any gatherings that i can. however this is my only means of transportation and i feel as soon as it gets warmer i want to dig into my transmission and rebuild it then rebuild my engine (i have a bit of blowby when i start it).

Kandiedz please keep in mind i am on eBroke *** College student without a job. i am in dire need of one so right now i have no income to fix my car up. but as soon as i do i will be posting more pics and i will be damn proud of them.

Hey Ham. Same color car as my z28. I have the t-tops also. I paid $3000 for mine. Keep fixing it up. Do you have any pictures of the interior? I would think you have the tan interior too.

i paid 5 grand for mine. the t-tops dont leak and the engien is great. it awas an alright deal. the guy threw in teh seat covers for free and he gave me a car cover that i lost . but the interior is all red with no rips tears or scratches. the dashpad is perfect. the two switches you see the blue one controls the amp and the green one had a purpose till it got cold out and i didnt want to work in the cold .

don't take it as offense, take it as a compliment...i'm only trying to help by offering what little i have you might be able to use.

just trying to help out, i too know what it's like to not have alot of money....it is no excuse though. all the stuff i was talking about are cheap mods. you look like you have some money as that stereo equipment isn't exactly cheap.

do what you like of course....to each his own, although the driveline is the last place i'd be looking to start when you don't have much money.

good luck with it.

Oh i didnt take it offensivly at all. the stero was transferred over from my Cavalier when it was wrecked in June. the Head unit the amp and one of the subs were from the cavalier. the amp box, and the sub box are the only new pieces of stereo eq. the head unit dont even light up anymore. the wipers are gonna go. but yea kandied i notice your from Mi. if you are serious about those parkling lanps and fog lights i have no problem meeting you if you want to give it a go.

Kandied i see your car and i love it. anything you say ill take to heart, you are a respected person of these forums, a person of experience and id more then less want to hear your imput if not more then others.

Excellent. same goes for you. i have so many parts that i dont even need.

ever find yourself keeping broken parts that you scrap out of your car when you replace them?? like i still have my heater diverter valve laying around. its like you keep it around cause its antiique to the car. or maybe im just crazy.
