clear sidemarkers with superwhite (blue tint) bulbs are in! BUT A QUESTION!!!!!!!!!

Ok so today I got the clear side markers in the mail and went right to installing them. Got them in without any serious problems, other than the fact that my car sits too low to stick my head or any other part of my body underneath (to change the driverside one) but luckily I got a hold of someone who was a tiny and he did it for me.

Here's my next question. you know the front turn signals. well, my question is, are they totally clear or do they have a yellow tint to them? because when they're off, they appear to be clear, but it has a little yellow shine at the back and i'm not sure if that's just the bulb or the lense itself.

what i would like to do is replace the bulb with the same bulb i have in my side marker lights, the superwhite blue tinted one. then i'll be pimp'in. but if the lense has a yellow tint then there is no point. so can anyone answer this question?

another question is, how the hell do you take out the light bulbs for the foglights? lol like i said i can't fit underneath to see, and i tried pulling from the back and that didn't work. i wanna replace my foglights with superwhite blue tint bulbs too.

I took out my front turn signals and their aren't yellow, just the bulb was amber.
To take out the bulb from the fog lights, reach behind them and turn them, either clockwise or counter...cant remember which way, then you should be able to pull them right out the back.
Hope this helps,
kyle

Yeah I replaced the blubs in my front turn signals with clear ones too, but not the superwhiite ones, just plain white ones, but it still isn't clear enough porbably cause my turn signals are so dirty, still looks alot better though.

Now all you gotta do is get the amber off the back like this

Testor's Candy Apple Red Transparent spray paint, I sprayed the outside amber with a couple layers, then sprayed the whole thing to make the red part match aswell. It holds well, not even a sign of it coming off yet, and I've been caught in some bad storms with it.

You should be able to get the paint at any hobby store, cost me $5 canadian

You realize that the cops are going to make you their bitch, right? You're going to get pulled over constantly if you have blue turn signals.

Oh, and just an FYI... you can replace the side marker lenses from under the hood. You don't need to get under the car.

actually no you cannot replace the driverside side marker from under the hood, as in my car you have 2 things blocking it, and only have 1 cm space from under the hood which is humanly impossible unless you have some weird super skinny teenage mutant ninja turtle hands.

secondly, technichally they're not blue. they're super white. the reason i went with superwhite is because although it has a tiny blue glare, it is white and cops can't do anything.

I don't know about that, I friend of mine has those washer lights and they are white, but they reflect of her car which is blue, and she's gotten plenty a warning's(not sure about any tickets yet) about them, and so did the girl that owned the car before her. So long as the LOOK blue you can get in trouble for them

well, i can tell you one thing,

here in toronto you can get a ticket for BLUE headlights, but if you go to court the ticket will never go through. my friend went to court and showed them proof that through research it has been proven that blue is brighter than white, and on top of that it is gentler on the eye than white is. with this arguement the judge gave him a note saying he can not get a ticket again and he won the case.

What Jim's talking about is true. If the rules are the same in Cananda, it'll be true there also.

He didn't mean that you'll get a ticket for having blue *anything*. You'll get it for not having the AMBER ones. It's against Federal DOT regs if you change the colors of stuff like that.

They want them amber for a reason; so everyone can easily identify that you ARE in a car AND you want to turn - not that you're some kid walking down the street, turning a flashlight on and off.

I'm guessing you know that the front turn signal and the side-marker aren't the same type of bulb.....

But, if you didn't know the front turn signal bulb type is 1157.

Peace
