Anyone use those touchup paints in the auto parts store
I have a 91 formula and the paint is in good shape but of course it has lots of paint chips in the front mainly. I found one of those touchup paint cans with the little nail polish type applicator and the collor matches pretty well. Its not the GM red, but its an import red and its very close in color. I touched up the paint chips and it looks much better. Of course if you look close you can see a little blob of paint on there, but a few feet away you cant see anything.
How does this stuff wear and last? Any downside to this in anyones opinion

Do you think you could post pictures of the touch up, from close up and from farther away? Especially if you have before/after shots.

by the way my car looks exactly like the one in your project. Where can I get more info on that one?

Yes, but I dont have a website so I will put a few on here. The touchup looks good for now, I want to repaint in a few years. I was thinking of a color I saw on a 71 Dodge Challenger called Dodge or Chrysler Plum Purple or something like that. It was a factory color inthose years. Match that with a set of those SLP Firehawk wheel (drool)
BTW I have since taken off that stupid looking license plate in the front.

Yeah they are all in the sig at the beginning of this thread. I guess sigs only appear the first time or something. Best I have run at the 1/8 mile track near my house is 8.68 with about a 1.96 60' time. That was before I put in the SLP runners which Im doing right now. I need to get to the 1/4mi track on the other side of town to get an official 1/4mile time but they tell me this relates to mid, maybe low 13s. These pics are all before pics, I will get those closeup touchup pics over the weekend. I plan on keeping this car indefinetly, making it into a real street rod,383 stoker, cam, heads, etc. All I need is money,
next is headers and 373 gears
Those are Ronal wheels in you concept drawing right? those look great. I am still trying to decide between those and teh SLP firehawks

Your car looks great. BTW a guy was selling a set of stock rims for these cars BRAND NEW a while back on here for $400. That would be cool to have perfect stock rims. I didn't have the money and I lost contact with him. He had bought them new for like 200$ each from GM and then wrecked the car or soemthing before he put them on. I went with the SLP cold air kit because I liked the more "factory" look to it. I just bought the air box separately for like $40 and used the stock plenum to airbox tube. It worked fine. Good luck with your car

Thanks much!
Yeah, if I weren't buying aftermarket rims I would probably polish some stockers, there's pics on here somewhere and they look great.
