Interior plastic peice....????

Ok i have ben wondering this for a while now. Ive seen SEVERAL firebirds with the same prob. Why goes the Gray plastic peice that sits in front of the guages......not line up and be centered withthe guages.....it sits off the one side or the other. Heres a pic...and no this is not my car......someone couldnt take care of this one..lol...

look carefully at the black ring surrounding the guages....it doesnt line up centered with the gray plastic piece.

i think thet were made like that cuz if you look at that black piece that rests against the guage itself, its angled so the driver can see the whole guage. i think it's an illusion made by those black rim pieces...

i dont think the car is running...lol the key is in the ON position...the shifter is in park and with teh voltage that low id guess the motor isnt running and his foot is over the pedal not pressing it...i may be wrong though..but i dont think the car would run on that low of voltage
