ok guys , need opinions here; bought this camaro recently and the hood inserts were painted to match the ground effects; they need a fresh coat of paint , but I am thinking about painting them black to match the hood; cant decide between silver or black, help me out guys!! Here is my '88 RS w/ the silver louvers.

 

My first camaro was a 88 sport coupe red silver hardtop they didnt have rs in 88 except california and they were only V6 what does your car have under the hood?/nice color cobo and t'stoo

 

silver looks alot better how they stand out

 

It has the L03 engine(305TBI) it is all original...62,000 miles and 5-speed

 

leave the silver, its nice looking

yeah i agree.. the silver looks cool. i've never seen that before.

 

Is it an SC with gfx or RS with the SC wing?? either way i think it looks sweet the way it is, paint looks pretty good too

 

It is an RS, that was the year they did away w/ the z28 name and changed it..basically same car as the z28 plus they added the rear spoiler..yes the paint is sweet, original too never saw snow...thanks all for your opinions, I think u made me decide.

Yeah that looks good silver. Repaint those louvers the same color :hail:

 

I'll be the first to say, I think it would look better if they were black, but it looks good now, do what you think will be the best. Have someone photoshop it with black, it would give you an idea.

 

i thought that the RS for 88 still came with the factory 15" rims because those are the early style IROC rims. So i'm just assuming those were replaced?
