92 Firebird (red) . Need hood, rims and tires.. help / PICS plz
Hey guys i am finally getting everything lined out with my full solid roller 383 stroker, and it will be going in soon.
My stock rims and tires need to be replaced, and the stock hood is a inch or two too low.
So what should i get? Car is painting bright red and the paint job looks good.
I've looked at the ASCD ram air hood but im not sure if i like it. Maybe a 2.5 or 3" cowl hood?
I have NO clue as to rims...
help!
Thanks,
Shane

those are nice... what are the specs on the rims and tires (size)?
Do they fit without any modifications or spacers?
also, where is the cheapest place to get them?
Thanks!
Shane

Wheels are 17 x 9.5. Fronts use a 3/8" spacer to clear the tie rod end. IF you have the 1le brakes (with the larger front rotor) you don't need the spacer.
I got mine directly from Ronal (http://ronalusa.com ) painted to match my car. You can get them in a graphite gray/black from SLP for 1099. Mine were a little more at about 1300. I would like to say what the backspacing is, but I don't know for sure. I suspect it 4.75.
I'm running 275/40/17 Firestone Firehawk SZ50s and have less rub than I did with my original wheels (crosslace) at full lock. I am running the Eibach Pro-kit.
