I would definitely say that a clay bar is one of the very best ways to get bugs off. Once you wash it and get the major body parts of the bugs off and are just left with their guts go at it with a clay bar and I think you'll be pretty pleased with how easy they come off. Then make sure you wax over the areas you used the clay bar on because it'll clean everything off, including wax, right down to the paint. There are some "bug and tar" removers you can try, but I personally feel the most comfortable using the clay and that's what we used at the detailing shop where I worked two summers ago....there were a LOT of bugs to take off
Good luck!

Back when I had my 91 Firebird I bought a LeBra front cover for it. I only put it on when I was going to drive a longer distance than normal.
The pic below is the day before my trip to St. Louis from my home town. It was a 4.5 hour drive and when I got to st. louis it was absolutely covered with bugs. I drove into downtown and it rained. Washed every last one off. Not a single bug on the front of the car. Got home took it off and the nose was just perfect.

I dont think my stripe decales would be too happy with a "bra". I never go on long trips on my car. so if I had a bra for that purpose I would never use it, But I would still get bugs on it.
