British Thirdgenners progress....
Well I finally managed to get some pictures of my rebuild progress.
Before anyone mentions things that I have not done, please be aware that this was never meant to be a nut-and-bolt restoration. It started as a head gasket change, and is now a general engine service and tidy up. I'm just so excited to have gotten this far, I wanted to share it with everyone!
Apologies for the quality of the pictures, it wasn't my camera and they came out blurry.

Looking good Si, how about some pictures of the car? Don't think I have ever seen it. Are you coming to the CA Nationals in May at Shakespeare County Raceway?
Cheers,

Hey Si Good luck with the little one. We had our first 15 months ago! Best thing I/we have ever done. We had a little girl too, called Sophia- all she can say is CAR- at least that is what she says all the time! Strangely I haven't pushed cars on her either, it must be in the blood
I am still considering bringing her along to the CA Nats.... I had to wait 9 months before we could get a car seat that would accept just a lapbelt (Britax) so that we could all go cruising again! Got to keep the Missus on side at all times as we all knows how the balance of power can shift once you're married
Good to see the car and look forward to seeing it in the flesh. Keep us posted on the baby situation!
Cheers,
Felix

Good luck with the car si. A lot of potential there. When are you planning to respray it?
Why is that whenever you start a "small" job then you always find lots of other things that you might as well do whilst you are at it?

Si,
Looks good. What color are you going to be painting her?
Everytime I take something off to do a small job I end up taking everything appart to see what it does and how it comes appart. I have problems
Also, you can tell a lot about a guy who reads the Daily Star. Pervert. Oh and btw, the pics aren't blurry, check your eye sight.

As for when, I'm not sure about that. It depends on when I can get the car mobile again, and find somewhere suitable to do it. If I have to, I'll take the bumpers off and spray them at work (in the unused second storey).

In all seriousness, I don't read the Daily Star. I made a bit of a mess at work with the carburetor cleaner and I figured cleaning it up was the best thing to do with the Star. I later discovered that it also makes good lining for the cat litter tray
