What is that, the part I circled?...what does it do?...mines missing that?? And could someone circle the oil dipstick...wana know where it's supposta b...the previous owner messed around w/ it...Im tryin 2 figure out where everything is supposta b...

those are air tubes if yo dont have them good lolonly emmisions devices

What exactly do those air tubes do? and where's the dipstick...right or left side...by what?

the air tubes take exaust air and re use them or lessen the o2 content..dip stick is on pasenger sid stick up through the 2nd and 3rd plug

Heres mine before I cleaned it up ,and painted the firewall ,brackets , and ditched all the emissions crap.not to pretty but you should have seen it when I first baught it , Talk about rust.

That is incorrect. The air pump pushes air into the exhaust manifolds via the air tubes, diverter valve, and appropriate tubing. This added air reacts with carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons in the catalytic converter to reduce unwanted emissions.

The EGR valve takes exhaust gas from the heat crossover within the intake manifold and recirculates exhaust gas into the intake.

Not quite correct either. The air injected into the manifolds raises the temp of the exhaust gasses during start to help the cat light off faster. After a set duration (just seconds) the PEDEs valve (diverter) then ports the air to the cat to help it get up to operating temp faster so it can start doing its job. Then the diverter switches to "dump" and ports the air to atmosphere, through the little round "can" thing near the pump.
