My 91-92 GTA lights came today. :)

Should I put them on the Formula since my Formula is already wired up with the pattern for these lights?
They are pretty big too, got them sitting on my bedroom floor.

I'd say put them on the Formula until your T/A is running.

The Trans Am doesn't look bad with the Standard lights though.
I think it's the wheels, spoiler and color that help it out,

Always loved the 91/92 GTA tail lights.

Zepher, I do believe you are even more of a computer nut than I am! I've only got two monitors on a desk. ^_^

Though I do have three more computers in the house. One is old, and out of comission till I find a use for it. The other is serving as the family room pc right now. And then there is my multimedia work station. Took 3 years to assemble the way I want it. Scanner, Digital Camera, Video in/out, photoshop, movie editing, dual monitors for 3d work, mp3 server for my home theater, etc....does lots of things.

I work in video and graphics. Do freelance work.
There are actually 2 computers on my desk. 1 monitor for the left computer and 2 for the one on the right.
The computer on the floor (bottom left in picture) is an Amiga 3000T which just sits there now.

Good lookng lights, I am the odd ball out though, I like the older ones better than the newones. I really wish there was some aftermarket choices though.

You desk looks like mine, two 17 on my main computer, programming and graphics, and a 15 in on my Linux box, for software testing and compiling. I have another 15 I use when I build computers for testing. When I have visitors, they all say doesn't that noise bother you, I'm like what noise, I am so use to white noise, I probalby couldn't do without. LOL

I also have a cash register right now that I am setting up for a store. everones like why do you have a laser scanner on you desk LOL I like to see that more and more car people that are into computers also.

Is one side more worn then the other or is it just the flash? I want to put those on, but I can never find a mint set.

I got them from a guy named Joe down in North Carolina. He had them on Ebay. MDFormula was bidding on them as well.
The "PONTIAC" lettering is worn out on one side and I'll probably get a decal to fix it. I am thinking a Black decal that is reflective and shines Silver.

I am seriously thinking about parting out the 86 T/A and buying this 87 GTA rolling chassis and putting the LT1 into that.
It has subframes, full suspension upgrade for road racing, hard top, great body, crosslace wheels, digital dash, and a 9bolt with 3.45 gears.

Probably not.
I need about $60,000 to get the car the way I want it and I don't see that happening anytime soon.
The drivetrain I really really want to get is the LT5 with ZF-6 with a pair of Turbos on it. That is about $30K or more.
I can picture my car in my head the way I want it and it is totally badass.

I think the 86 would look good with the earlier standard grid taillights.

I think you need to get the 86 at least presentable because the T/A is already awesome and I wanna see it running on the road again.

Oh, and as for being a computer geek, you should see my room/house. Four desktop computers in my room (2 PC and 2 Macintosh), a PC laptop and a Mac laptop, another computer I put in my bro's room and another computer I put downstairs, and about 20 half-gutted computers in my closet. I'm actually quite pathetic.

I am confused by that statement.
The 86 is the T/A.

And it's for sale.

Hey, that's who I got my 91-92 GTA tails from. His eBay name is "snowbelow." He is on the TGO boards under the name "Bird-dog". I actually met Joe last week when he brought my new driver's door up from North Carolina. Super nice guy.

I just wanted to recommend him, as he went WAY out of his way to keep me happy as a customer. Here is a link to the story:

I agree with FyreLance, I'd love to see your ta back on the road again too. It's come a long way from when it was maroon and black. I remember watching that vid of you tearing down the street in it, no spoiler, white hood and all!

I still have that video. You don't know how many times I watched that video, and video's of other thirdgens tearing it up during the 7 months I couldn't drive my car because of the cracked block. Took time to get the money and once I did get the money together I didn't have the time to work on it.

But now that I have my GTA up, I'm still working on the damn thing. Project indeed.

I found an 87 GTA Hard Top that I want to put my motor into.
So I am selling the car and the parts off of it.
$1500 takes the entire car, minus the drivetrain.

It has the chassis and suspension only. No cage at the moment.
Full interior with 2 sets of seats.
I am going to take pictures of it tomorrow.

speaking of 91-92 tails...does anybody know of any way to replace/repair the grid in them? After much sun damage they peel off from the inside.

And were all the 91-92 "PONTIAC" lettering red? Mine is just the gold inner part. Then again they need some restoring. Can we buy the red lettering part by chance?

Raven is trying to sell you the hood? I was going to sell the black one and I gave him pictures of both.
The formula one is still yours.
I think I am keeping the 86. I was looking at her today and I think I have changed my mind. Car looks so mean with the OZ's.

That would look nice. Do you plan to remove all the original PONTIAC letters before applying the decal or just lay the decal over?

Probably just go over the lettering since the original looks like it's painted on.
