Good for you!! Which insurance company are you using? How was the appraisal process? Did you have to save all your receipts for them to acknowledge that much worth? Sorry for all the questions, I'm going to be doing this for my car pretty soon. I'm just afraid to show them my blower because they might raise my rates ...

crazy- thanks man..it took 5 years to get her to this point, im with my current general insurance company but the appriaser gave me some companys that deal directly with cars like mine..(special interests and hot rods and such) i was really shocked..he didnt ask for any reciepts..but im sure some places do. all you have to do is talk with the guy and be straight...dont lie to them or anything and everything should be ok. the guy was an older gentleman who did say.."i have no idea why you kids put so much $$$ into your cars but hey..at least you arent running me off the road"..

to the other people..(sorry forgot your names)
the reason its so much is because its a custom job..like the evo kits...thats the main reason..and cuz it sticks out and draws sooo much attention..mind you..not all people like it..but hey..

Maybe the reason a lot of us are so "iffy" on your car is because all it looks like to us is a plain Jane IROC with an ugly front bumper that doesn't fit the lines of the car AT ALL and a big wing out back. At least thats what your vague pictures constantly show us. I have yet to see a clear, bright picture of your car. All we see if these blurry, dark pics.

I'm not quite sure what you mean about the Evo kit. The Evo kits are RARE and very expensive. I've seen your front clip in a few magazines (color was yellow) and it didn't look any better.

Not saying that your car is not worth $$, but what was this insurance guy smoking? I can understand if you took your car back to 100% original condition and it was low mileage and maybe even had some rare factory options, but c'mon... What we see here is a hacked IROC-Z that looks like it should have Type-R badges on it.

This is my OPINION and by no mean fact, so don't take it the wrong way.

Anyway - Maybe its the insrurance appraisal guy that I'm really having a tough time with. I mean, I wonder what he'd appraise a bone stock, clean IROC of the same year at.... $100k?????? Something smells funny here....

I do however like one thing on your car... The wheels in the pic when the car is all black... They look deep dish[ish] to me... They look bad-a......
