Looks good and straight man! Looks like a good start. When I first got my car home, you couldn't even tell what it was. Yours just needs some sanding , a lil body work, and some fresh paint. Nice Find! Keep us posted on progress!

Cool dude. Looks like you've got a good foundation to work with. Hopefully TGO can be a helpful resource for you!

Looks like a great starting point you have there. Here's what mine looked like when it came home to me
About 117,000 miles on it I think.

definently a great start! It's hard to beat your first thirdgen. There are so many OEM and aftermarket parts for these cars. You could keep it an 82....or you could make it any year from 82-92 with some modifications.....mods=good, create your own monster!

Lookin' good! Mine has over twice as many miles (going on 198K) and was covered in two-thirds primer when I bought it. Needs minor engine work and an alternator, polished American Eagles, a coat of paint, and I'm gone!

I can definitely see the potential in your car, blyth18md. Your paint reminds me of the '91 RS I used to have, the clear coat just slowly starting peeling off one day. From then on it progressively got worse....it's like cancer, has no respect for the car. Heh, ok, maybe that's a little too dramatic.
By the way, 97-1LE, I admire your car as well - and I'm usually strictly a Camaro guy.

That looks like a great body to start with! From the pics, it looks like there isn't much or any rust. A lil paint and that thing will really shine! Have some good fun with that car!

Can't wait to see when it's done. Good luck with it.
