Japanese vented hood thread
Japanese vented hood thread lets see if we can get anymore info on this hood. I would love to have a local aftermarket place get aholdof this mold so we can have this hood produced! Here a link w/ a little more info. I quess this hood is carbon fibre and is very pricey. And comments or info is welcome! https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...ighlight=Japan.
I also would love too see this hood come to North America, but there are a few things stopping it. One reason is there are maybe a handful of companies in North America that would make a hood of that great a detail and fit. And Two, if a company did make the hood jsut like the Japan one, or we imported the Japan one, it would cost alot of $$$$$, which alot of Thirdgen owner either don't have (my case
) or don't seem to want to spend.
Thats just my $0.02 worth

Personally, I think that hoods looks pretty awesome.
The only problem I have with it is my vehicle is a daily driver, so that hood is out of the question for when it rains, water will flow right into the engine bay.
I'll be getting a SS hood from our awesome board sponsor the first $400 bucks I can find, because its a great price for a cool hood.
I really don't see anyone being able to make the above hood anywhere near that price range, which seems to be the area most of us are willing to spend.

Why not see if a hood manufacture with in your country would be interested in making one up, the sale price may be cheaper than ordering from Japan..It is a rather cool looking hood..

How do we know this vehicle/hood is from Japan? I'd sport that over a SS hood amazingly. Someone stateside has the ability to make it. where are you getting these pictures from.
Damn, I just thought about it.. if we did have it imported, we would be putting "JDM" parts on our vehicles. Would that technically make us Ryce ?
