New!!: engine ID spec plate

Saw somethign similar for corvettes in a vette mag. This is why I wanted a camaro emblem BTW. I mocked this up via photoshop. I'm probably going to print it on adhesive backed paper and stick it to a piece of aluminum and stick that on top of my ashtray door.

I still have some tweaking to do...not sure if its the final version or not. Oh....I can do one with a thunder chicken logo for birds if anyone has a graphic.

What do you all think??

Pretty cool but the L98 is a 5.7 not a 5.0

and I'm not certain I like the compression ratio there...kinda seems like something too extra. Seems like there is too much there needs to be cleaned up some....just my 0.02 cents

I agree with them on the compression ratio.. seems like you needed to fill space so you took some random stat and tossed it on there.

And definatly change the L98 to LB9 (assuming you have an LB9)

I think he put the Compression ratio is because the old Vette plates like that had that Compression ratio*, so he was trying to make it as much like the Vette one as possible. Very cool idea, I'd like to see one in your car when your done.

*well, atleast my dad's 71 vette has a plate with compression ratio

Yeah..oops, I meant LB9 : my engine. And yes I was trying to follow the vette spec plate closely. I think they included axle ratio too. I'll have to check. So, I wasn't just trying to throw stuff in to fill in the space.

I still have to do some tweaking though, like I said. Not sure I'm happy with all the fonts/colors.

the comp ratio is useful from a prospective buyer trying to figure out which fuel to use.

Looks good man.

Here's a picture of the ID plate off my 1973 Stingray. I'm going to talk to MBA Products about mabye making custom ones for each individuals car. This is the same company that makes the Billet TB Plates, batery covers, and petals.
