1991 Z28 Camaro wit 13,902 org miles needs help!
I have a 1991 black 350TPI Z28 Camaro with 13,902 exact orginal miles and the paint is perfect and never seen winter and its only been in the rain twice .... Now i just posted up a thread in this forum bout keepin my paint clean because black is the most b*tch paint to keep clean, but also can look really nice on a 3rd gen... Anyways im really sick of keepin it clean all the time cuz it get dust and dirt from the Massachusetts roads.. (roads suck *** here) Do u guys think i should repaint the color into a much simple color to keep clean??? Or no keep it original and live wit it...... Anyways thanks for the suggestions from the other thread i posted up
tell me ur ideas please.....

Keep it original and deal with it. I have a black car and I wouldn't have it any other way. No color looks as good as black when its clean, in my opinion.

u should be proud to take care of ur car, no matter what color it is. plus with a car with that kind of mileage i cant see it being driven to often so its not like ur cleaning it everyday. my car is blue and i usually wash it each time i drive it, id treat any car or any color car the same way. it would be a sin to paint htat car

No matter what color its gonna get dusty and look bad and have to be cleaned black is more noticeable then anything because its dark I mean its black lol.
I thought yea I'll do mine in silver hide any bad spots and won't show up dirt as bad as say red, black or white...... wrong!!!!!!!!!
I can wash it and 2 hrs later its dirty, freakin road crew tearinng up the roads n junk anyways mine doesnt show dirt bad it just gets hazy and has no shine then run hand over it and got lots of white looking dust all over it. No matter what color u got it;; get same amount of dust white hides most dust but when it gets dirty its ugly and yellow. Theres no real option other then clean it up get a cover then uncover for a ride.

i say if its just regular house type dust then you should just throw a good coat of wax on it to make the paint surface slick, and then get yourself a california duster from someplace like wal mart. then every few days when you open her up, give it a good dusting and you should be fine.

I would give the car a good cleaning.
Start by claying the entire car. I would then put a few coats of Zaino on it. Z1, Z5, Z2, etc. Then put the car cover on. When it gets dusty, use a california duster to remove it. With the coats of Zaino, the dust should just slide off easilly.

Yes, black is a very very very hard color to keep up. As long as it's maintained.....you like to clean...and you like your car....keep it black. I love cleaning my car...I clean it usually 3-4 times per day....wouldn't have it any other color!
