hi everyone,
i know this is an odd request but i really need to see every possible color combo that was available STOCK. especially all the available schemes on a black IROC (really especially with the red IROC decals). but all in general is what id really like to see. Thanks sooo much!!!!

yeah it is a big request. reason im asking is because my IROC was totalled on friday when i got rearended. Now ill be looking for a new one. also, imquite curious to see all the combos anyway. i figure if everyone who has an IROC posts a pic we'll get all or nearly all the combos.
ill start with mine...

dont mind the ground effect that i removed. that was right after we installed my bilstein's and prokit:hail:

 

My 89 IROC-Z was originally White exterior with the Gold accents. The 16" IROC wheels also had gold insets. Nowadays the car is painted a custom PPG green with 16" IROC wheels with grey insets (its in Sig), but soon will be re-painted either Fairway Green Metallic, or Dark Bowling Green Metallic (Both C5 colors). If you really want to find out what all the combos were, I say go through the RPO's. When I got my IROC is was not the original color (was repainted white by a Macco or Schieb, no gold accents). I checked my RPO's to find out what it originally came with. It won't be as good as pictures, but at least you'll know for sure what all the combo's are by seeing what was available through the RPO's.

by far the best in my opinion is red/black with red black interior.

 

That sucks. Where you able to salvage the parts from your Iroc? Although I have an '87, my color combo was always available on Irocs...I believe. Bright red with silver letters, black/silver stripes -- see sig. By the way, black with red is my favoricte combo...and I never see many of those. Happy hunting!

here's my black iroc with red decals, though it came original with white decals i opted for the red after new paint

 

well mine's an 87, but...black Iroc decals, and a silver/black stripe running around the bottom of the car

 

here's my ever so nice black/blue (teal, whatever you wanna call it) combo... rare too so they say

 

Bright Red and Gold.
My car is the only 88-90 with this combo that I've ever seen!85-87, sure, but no other 88-90's!!!

IrocZywentyGR8: 88-90? Red w/gold/beechwood? I'll beleive it when I see it! Lot's of people have claimed to have "seen" one. It's my mission in life, and I've only seen another one in the 89 brochure. Who knows, it coulda been MINE!!!!

SnkSknrZ28: I've never seen the red on orange like that!!! Only gold on orange.

The rarest color combo IMO is the canary yellow with silver gfx, and stripes. I can't even find pics of that.

 

Oh yeah mine looks like the older Z's...like 85's and such. Its going to be all red soon...hopefully it will look better.

Red graphics on Maroon is pretty rare too. Kinda like Tims car.

No black on black.
I don't think there were ANY black Iroc door decals, except maybe for the yellow cars. Lemme see if I can make a list:

Black with......silver,red,gold
Red................silver, gold
Burgandy.......silver,red,gold
white.............silver,red,gold, and silver yellow
Blue...............silver,gold
Yellow............gold,black (85-87 only)
Orange..........gold (88 only)

A few notes:
1) THIS IS NOT fact. It's off the top of my head. This is a fun topic so let's discuss it a little!
2) Snksknr, is your Orange with red an RPO option, or a dealer option? I've never seen it.
3) I've seen several black cars with silver "IROC" and teal and silver stripes. RPO or dealer option?
4) I've never seen yellow with silver. Is it a real RPO?

Edit:According to the sheet attached, the blue on black was indeed a RPO.

 

Here's a pic of the white with the silver and yellow pinstripes. I don't remember who's car it is, but I insisted it wasn't factory. Turns out that I was wrong.

Interesting, but seen several yellow cars, and a couple gray, usually with silver decals. Exception to every rule, maybe?

 

That red lettering on orange is sweet, I wonder how red would look on red? kind of like a ghost effect? Anyone have that?

My 87 is red, red interior, silver lettering. It also has matching red on the wheels between the spokes and in the spoke channel. Never seen another with wheels like that. Wonder if that was a dealer mod or if the original owner painted it to match..... (no exterior pics atm =(

 

I can pretty much say for sure that your red accents on the Iroc wheels are a dealer, or an owner mod, not factory. Unless you have the 15" Z28 wheels on your Iroc. Those did sometimes come in red, and they were actually considered the "base" Iroc wheels, although most had the 16".



I've seen a few silver/grey cars with silver decals , AND some with red decals. I've still never seen a yellow with silver, anyone got a pic?

 

This is a pic of a car I sadly missed out on. I think the black and gold is a nice combo but black and red is amazing I think.
