ZR1's Didnt Work out, Going TT II's now!

one of my zr1's adaptor stripped out while i was driving and completely screwed up my whole driver side front fender. so i have taken the zr1's off and i am now looking for a good used set of torque thrust II's. 17x8's are alright, but if you have 9's or 10's for the back that would be great! i just dont wanna fool around with the adaptors anymore and have this same thing happen to me later down the road.

I followed your earlier thread where you bought the adapters. I'm thinking about getting some adapters from the same guy you bought yours from. Can you tell me exactly what happened to yours? Was the adapter at fault?
Thanks,

never had a problem with my skulte adapters....i've heard of similar problems before though. go with direct bolt on as it isn't worth the worry/hassle the adapters bring about and the car will not only look better but feel better.

Wow so the adaptor came off? I had my heart set on some y2k wheels but if the adaptors are the least bit shady then maybe I won't run them

eeek!! But what if I get a 4th gen rear end, what am I gonna do then? I wanted to run adapters on all 4, then get a new rear end so I'd only run adapters in the front but now I don't know what to do

Me too. I am getting another set of TT2's though. Going to go down to a 17x8 in the front instead of the 17x9.5.

not lookin to sell them yet, and yeah i dont really think it was the adaptors fault. i think it was more my fault, because i put them on, and never checked them again, and i guess after just about 100 miles of driving they need to be retightened.

TpiTony searching here on this website for that wheel would have saved you alot of trouble....they were brought back in the last year and discontinued again.

I've seen a bunch of Ronals on ebay lately, and a few months ago Hawks still had a few sets. So you might try those two places Tony.

I ran Vette Brakes adaptors and Slulte adaptors on my cars and never had any problems with them getting loose. I just made sure the lugs were nice and tight when I put them on.
I never had issues with ride quality either running 4th gen 16's or 17's on the cars.
