Dont give up and pay someone else to do that! the only other bolt that you may have to deal with other than the ones on the side are the ones that hold the light bar to the radiator support. but it sounds like you already got to those.

I had the same problem with my 84 when trying to put an 88 nose on it. It turned out that the honeycomb support stuff under the bumper is a little bit different but not much. The honeycomb was hitting against the bumper skin and wouldn't let one side bolt in all the way. I just shaved a little piece of on one of the ends to get it to fit. If this still doesnt work, you could also loosen the fenders a bit to help bolt the nose on, then tighten them back up

when we switched my brothers sport coupe front end out for an 89 rs nose we used fenders and all and swapped the whole thing at once with fenders connected.....
it wasnt too hard at all but we didnt have the nose unbolted

no your fenders will work just fine with the newer nose
its not that difficult to remove the nose by its self thou ......just jack it up and keep looking under neath it for bolts until you have them all removed and the nose will pretty much fall off it shouldnt take more than an hour or so to remove and install the new one.....
we had the complete front clip off my brothers car ljnowell...in less than 20 min we left the fenders attatched to the nose
and reinstalling it took about an hour to realign it ...and rebolt it down ....still needs some slight tweaking but all in all it looks good...

i got the top and bottom bolts to come off but the thing that is holding me back is the 3 screws on the sides that bolt the nose and the fender on the passenger side i got all three bolts off but the drivers side i only managed to take out 1 bolt n the rest theres hardly any clearance to take off i think ill just go take off the fenders n then take off the nose ill probably do it @ autobody class tuesday ill keep yall updated oh and also will a front chin valance off a 89 iroc fit on the 92 bumper?

have you removed the plastic fender wells? To get those bolts i just removed those and then just turned the wheel ( or take off) to get my arm in there. i used a 1/4 rachet with a deep 10. Takes some time to get them all the way loose because theres not much room but its doable.
