New gauges are in!!!!

Well in totally finished finally with doin the gauge swap. the biggest thing that held me up from finishing was my led light bulds took 2 weeks to get here but it is worth the wait.

anyway i used Autometer ultra-lite gauges and blue led bulbs the bulbs alone almost cost as much as my speedometer. bulbs were $151 ouch but good.

anyway im postin 2 pics right now in the day time since i just took them and its only 3:45 ill post a pic later tonight to show with the lights on.

tell me what u think? this is one thing off the big list of things to do.:lala:

How well did the three-gage A-pillar pod fit? Are any of the gages in it mechanical? I have a mechanical boost gage in my TT IROC using an autometer 2-hole pod, and was not happy with the fit (the pod fit over the factory A-pillar trim, and didn't leave much room for the boost sense line- the gauge sticks out approx 1/4"). Was your 3-hole pod made by autometer as well?

Thanks
Kenton

well im back with a night time pic.

89JYturbo - the bottem gauge is a vacume gauge and if your boost gauge is set up the same way my vaucume gauge is. where u have that hard line goin in the back the you'll have to drill/trim a hole in the original piller for it to sit flush. also my gauge pod was made by Autometer.

85maroz28 & Abubaca - the bezel is from Corvan's Classic. i didnt buy it directly from here, i bought it off of a member on here whichdecided not to use it or the wiring harness that Corvan's Classic sells.

the gauges are abit brighter in person i just dont have a very good digi camera that takes night pics. but this is how they look. im not so happy with how bright the speedo is becuz of how autometer mounts the plate with the numbers on it becuz if it had the screws that hold it on to the outside it should be just as bright as the rest. i guess with how they have all the electrical stuff on the inside thats the only way they could mount the plate.

I wasn't aware that autometer was now making an A-Piller pod that houses 3 gauges?

its probably just the pic becuz before i put these even closeto the car i made sure they werent, i hate if even one is just off a bit. ill check tomarrow

well 91bird305 if i started to list make a list i would probably get pretty long if i went into detail. but a small list consists of

droppin in my big block (496 when i get done) , th400 trans, 12 bolt , 3 1/2'' alumin driveshaft, pretty close to all new if not NOS body parts, 80-81 z28 fender vents (sittin in the closet), ascd big block hood, car repainted black with a candy apple blue stripe. lowered 1-2'', finish off the suspention, either 17 or 18'' rims, baer disk brake kit front and rear, and either all new interior parts or atleast fix all the little things in it. thats a shortened list.

I was gonna say, maybe you should drop an engine in there to go with all those gauges.

Guys...

I may be totally dense, but I can't find a listing for an A-Piller that houses three gauges for an 82-92 camaro.

Can anyone enlighten me?
