Bah, I think the direct port is more impressive than all that airbrush work and chrome, personally

I think he is looking for inspiration...seeing what the majority of thirdgen owners like and dislike.

personally i don't care for it and would never do it to my car but that is a very clean engine bay...

I agree. To much chrome/polish in the engine bay and things blend together to much and begin to look overdone. Throw in a little powder coating here and there and then we'd be talking a nice engine bay.

Its too busy under the hood. Soo much going on that you can't focus on any of the detail work. Too much chrome, there isn't anything under the hood to contrast with it.

Perhaps thats becasue it such a poor resoultion picture. But all of that detail just washes out.

I never really liked airbrush work on Camaros.. or cars in general, so I don't like it.

But come on Jeff, how about you stop teasing us and post pictures of your project already

there are two things in that picture that i'm testing out... both of which haven't been posted. i agree it's too clutered and while i love airbrush and design i wouldn't personally put a mural of sorts on the vehicle.

i think this is a good example of a clean engine bay but one that could certainly use something more.

just showing some pictures of cars that are different, everyone complains they never see anything new... just giving you something new. this particular car is from 2001 car show series.

i actully like it alot not sure about the antifreeze bottle being painted but it is a real nice clean looking bay. i like alot of detail each item took thought and follow through. and it is not coockie cutter like alot of the engine bays you see.

i wonder where the washer bottle went? maybe its a trailer queen and does not need one but it would balance the bay out.

and i for one say Jeff keep posting your finding some great items of intrest. ***** away

yeah i'm not sure about the washer bottle as i wondered that as well... not having a clear shot of the cowl who knows... i like the setup though.

as far as my car...soon enough, it's not even winter here yet.

The airbrush work is nicely done, however it looks like it should be halloween decorations and not on a car. The install of the nitrous system is nice, however....

1. Cheap top – sidepost adapter looks like junk.
2. Autozone braided radiator hose cover, no more needs to be said on that.
3. The chrome brake resivoir lid looks like junk on top of the brown resivoir itself.
4. Just way too much chrome, chrome doesn’t even look very good.
5. More of that fake braided cover junk.
6. Way too much work into a long runner tpi.

not really, surprisingly it's not much more work then a 4thgen dash install and personally is more original.

I measured one, iirc it was over 7" more narrow than a thirdgen dash, if not more, and a 4th gen is only 1.5" more narrow than a thirdgen............

I really like the polished STB, and is that a billet brake fluid resevior cap? Looks very shiny, but it could just be the lighting. What I don't like is the braided stainless radiator hose. The airbrushing or whatever that is on the radiator showd and coolant bottle I could do without also.

The actual width from end to end on the dash.

It looks good although i think some black in there would contrast the chrome better. Thats what i want on mine is a nice balance of black and shiny, so everythign stands out. I think all chrome motors are gaudy when everythign looks the same. Personally i want to try that front radiator support and fille rpiece in a nice piece of brushed aluminum like on that dually truck on the summit racing catalog a few months back.
