Looking for a cheap paintjob?
Maaco did it for $500. I preped it myself along with a friend. Took a single afternoon to sand it and a couple of hours to prime it. you be the judge.

hey looks pretty good man! If there was a maaco around here i probably would have gone with them but my brother hooked me up with a $800 job with body work done for me and it was also a base/clear coat.
I went the same route you did, the paint doesnt last. Mine is 6 months old and already falling apart. Youre better off paying the 1k or so for a decent job that will last for years.

Maaco painters know how to lay down paints, it's the paint they use and the lack of prep that kills the job. Do the bodywork yourself (including some disassembly if they'll let you) and bring them good paints and they can work miracles! Granted, good quality paint materials can run $500.00, but that's still a bargain.
