Does "motion" still exist

I've copped a few pics of some "motion" camaro's and firebirds. Does anyone have one of these modded vehicles? Does anyone have any more pics of these things? Also, what about the Mecham third gens, anyone have one, or have pics ?

Those kits are motion performance not baldwin motion. Back in the day Baldwin Chevrolet teamed up with motion performance (aka Baldwin-Motion) and built custom cars through their dealership. When the cars pictured were taking is long after they had no ties so it is just a motion car. Motion performance is still around they now make model planes and boats woohoo exciting. Here is there website www.motionperformance.com

Baldwin Motion was the thing in the 60's and 70's. The best of the best. "super cars"

Like f355bird said. It was a two part deal back then. You went to Baldwin chevy and ordered what you wanted, The new camaro, vette, nova, chevelle, or vega was then handed over to Motion performance, and they re worked the car. Added a diff engine (big block 396, 427 or 454 most of the times) diff trans, better suspension, glass hood (L-88 was Joel's most used hood) The famous "motion stripes", etc etc.

Most if not all of the baldwin motion cars was 11 sec or money back street beasts.

At that time motion performance was a speed shop too. He built engines, cars, etc with out the order from baldwin chevy, and sold performance parts.

I think he lasted till the late 70's/early 80's before he closed the doors on the shop.

In the late 80's through late 90's he made fiberglass parts for cars, vega v-8 swap kits, etc. I'm not sure if he does does this or not. I know he's into the model air planes now though.

The yellow car needs a few more exhaust pipes out of the rear to make it complete.

Yeah...I think my hood was ordered around 2000....just five short years ago.

I don't think they make any parts for our cars anymore.
