5" Jongbloed hood!!! Whose running one?
I am thinking of getting a Jongbloed hood. Only question is which to get the 3" version or the 5" one.
Anyone have the 5" hood on there camaro? Got pics?
Do you guys think it would look good on my car?

personally I think a 5 inch cowl is rediculous. it doesn't fit the lines of the car. same with 4" as well. the only reason I can see for putting one of these tall cowl hoods on is if you have a race car and need the room jmo

well the pics of the jongbloed hood are deceiving. The 3" only looks like it raises about 1 1/2 inches and the 5" looks like it raises only 3".
Thats one reason I would like to see pics of someone who has the 5" version. I agree that too tall of a cowl hood looks bad, but I might get away with the jongbloed. I just need pics to decide.

Wow is this the big cowl haters support group
lol, i dont think the jongbloed would look out of place since it does fit the lines it just raises the center of the hood on those factory lines. I love the look of the hood but when i was getting it ready the only thing available was that 3" one and it wouldnt have given me the clearance i am planning on needing. Any pics of teh 5" jongbloed hood?
And for you big cowl lovers

Im thinking of buying one also. I need the hood clearance I have a 3" harwood but with a super victor intake and a 1" nitrous plat and an air filter it will not fit.

Re: 5" Jongbloed hood!!! Whose running one?
I have one but Ill have to dig for it and it really isnt a good picture. It also doesnt matter much either since as far as I know no one makes the 5" anymore.
The original maker ripped people off and ran the business into the ground then sold the molds. At one point Id tracked down the place that bought them but they said the 5" mold was damaged and probably wouldnt be repaired. They were on Ebay selling 3"s for a while but they are gone now as well I believe.
It is a shame because if you need hood clearance for a decent intake and air cleaner your only option is a normal cowl hood.
