i am doing a 1/8th scale model IROC-Z. I want to paint it a stock color i also have silver IROC-Z decals to go on it. I would like to know how many diffrent colors the IROC-Z came in in 1985.

 

85 Camaro color options:

-White
-Silver Metallic
-Medium Gray Metallic
-Black
-Dark Blue
-Bright Blue Metallic
-Yellow
-Light Yellow
-Light Brown Metallic
-Copper Metallic
-Red
-Maroon

I'll take a guess, blue, red, black, yellow, white. Any others? I say paint it whatever color you want due to the fact that you will never match the paint perfectly to the 1985 color codes. Although, there are places like paintworld.com I believe that make car paint in the spray can if you give them a color code. Not too sure if they can match one that far back though. Post it up when your done? Also, where did you get it?

 

i want to get the paint codes so i can go to the dealer and get some tuch-up paint and use it for the model. you guys have pictures of thoes colors?

 

Go through the readers rides for pics. Fastest way IMO. Or search online for a camro history site with all of that info.

Yeah the reader's rides are down. Sorry about that. The silver is real nice! Not too sure how you would get it to look good with the silver decals though. Maybe "ghost" decals if anyone asks?

ok now that would easily turn up a few hundred returns if you simply did a search, and it would be a lot faster than waiting for someone to do the work for you
