Not my style, but it could look cool with all the right accessories....
I would like to see it with the taillights on also.

i'll get some pics later with them lit up. the spray can said "off road use only," but you can see the lights just fine through the tint during the day or at night. i chose to tint this gridded pair because they weren't in perfect condition, picked them up from a swap meet for $40. I was originally gonna tint the coupe ones since they aren't worth as much as gridded ones, but they are in better shape. so i can still change between styles. i agree that they would look better with a glossier finish, so i may clear them. i think it goes well with the black paint job, but everyone has their opinion.

I personally think that by wetsanding/polishing and clearing, they will look remarkably better. I'll hand it to you, though.. I like the spray on stuff waaaaaaaaaaaaay better than the stick-on black outs.. shine 'em up, and you're all set.

Better get some brighter tail light bulbs. I can picture getting rear ended and the idiot claiming he/she couldn't see my brake lights. If I did do it I would use red 3m reflective tape through the grid lines.

They will look fine once they are polished....
...and that would not pass inspection here, at least w/ blackouts you can take them off before going to the inspection station.

and another pic, with the brakes applied. the pictures aren't all that great, but i can say the lights are still very visible during the day and at night.

what brand of spray on did you use?
I'm going to paint my car black, I'd like to do that.
and keep me updated if you clearcoat or buff them out. if you can get them really shiny i'm 100% down for doing it to mine.

did you spray it on the outside or the inside of the tail lights... i was thinking of picking up a extra set of formula tail lights and doing them on the inside....

I've got a pair that came out to dark. They look awesome polished though. I did them with nightshades as well. i think my next set will be the non grid style, with the reverse left white... but I will polish these and have them professionally tinted.

i sprayed em on the outside. i didn't plan on tinting mine as dark as I did. just turned out that way from getting trigger happy with the spray can and also trying to even it all out. oh well.
