Just Cleaned my Wheels w/ Mr Clean Magic Eraser...

My front wheels are REALLY dirty just from years of brake dust because of the discs (even though my back wheels are like spotless because htey've never really been exposed to brake dust). Even when we first got the car and took the wheels off and power washed them and cleaned them with meguiars hot rims cleaner they were still dirty...

Well today i went to walmart and got a pack of those mr clean magic erasers and let me say that they did a pretty good job. see for yourself:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

There still not as clean as the back ones, but these mr clean things definately helped alot. My only complaint is that its pretty hard to get into the little crevices of the wheel, and the my passenger side wheel seemed to be alot dirtier than my drivers side front wheel and some of the dirt on that side wouldnt really come off completely???? Go figure...

Yea there still dirtier than i would like, especially the passenger side front (For some reason??), but i gotta give it to the bald man...his magic eraser works pretty damn good. I first brought it outside and my dad was like 'what the hell is that' 'your wastin your time thats not gonna work', but when i started using it, it took like all the dirt it could reach off. Great product, worth the ~$2 for 2 pads....

Nope..this is the first thing i've tried thats actually worked... ive previously tried powerwashing, and powerwashing w/ meguiars hot rims but it didnt seem to do **** besides make them shinier.

This stuff definately works, however like i said, its kinda hard to get into the little crevices. Id definately try it, its like $2 for 2 pads..

there is this thing we call buster at work we use on rims. Its an oxidizer but you have to be carefull with it. That cleans up brake dust with just a good spray down and rinse , dont even have to brush the rims. I was amazed when i got my front rims looking brand new . to bad i dont have a before and after

I'd almost be hesitant to use an oxidizer, especially being just an 'amateur' with it. I mean you do one thing wrong and take some of the paint off, the rims are gonna look like **** and then your ****ed

My wife used the magic eraser to clean the interiors of our vehicles and they work great. We've never used anything that got all the gunk out of the textured vinal on the arm rests and such.

I really wanna try these.

White Rims + Crappy brake pads = black rims in about 3 days.

I think I should pick up a bunch of these, from everybody's review, it seems that they work really good.

let me know if they work on the white walls, i need something good for my white letters. I have been using simple green but its a little bit of work. i need them to look as white as they can without getting a brillo or a wire brush

next time you do your pads, try out ceramic pads, if you have the coin, and your dust prob will pretty much go away.
