Pretty'in up my new motor

Well I got a L98 for my 91 Formula that I've been working on. I'm just cleaning it up before I drop it in. The engine was pretty filthy so I scrubbed down the block and heads with a wire brush. I sent the intake out to get it glass bead blasted. The major accomplishment so far is the progress on the fuel rails. I just gone done polishing the first one last night. Here are some pics of the completed rail and of the cleaned but unpainted intake. The valve covers & intake are going to be painted with Duplicolor Metalcast smoke paint (an anodized gray color). The block and heads are goin to be black I think with the accesories and whatnot being a combo of black, Metalcast, and polished. It should look nice and subdued in a black car I think. Anyway, heres the pics.

What they started out looking like....

After a brush off with a wire wheel, tripoli with a medium buffing wheel, and white rouge on a soft wheel. I didnt sand any of it before polishing. It probably could have benefited from a hit with emory on a hard wheel first but I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Here's the intake after bead blasting. This is bare with no paint on it. It was pretty oxidized and oily when I got it. Much better now.

I'll post more pics tomorrow once I get the valve covers & intake painted. What do you guys think so far?
