ya before i, there was only one owner...and he garage kept it and used it as his sunday car...never taken out in the rain...never in the snow....he was in his 40-50s so this car was babied...and continued to be by myself...most people dont belive me but its little paint imperfections show its originality

looks great, but I bet you liked removing the polish as much as i did lmao. I used this system on my truck, with a clay bar first and it felt so dang slick. Good work

I used the Meguires 3 step to detail my car as well. Loved it! The result just made all the hard work worth it. The cleaner wax seemed to do a good job concealing small scratches. Here she is after a wax job

nah..like he said ^^^ the cleaner/polish wont do that for you...but the 1st step after my wash was the paint cleaner...and i have original paint with minor imperfections but some of the discoloring spots i couldnt get out with any sponge during my wash came right off just like that...any old wax buildup you have comes off real nice to....im very impressed by this stuff

Just a quick tip for anyone thinking of using this or any similar product lineup: do NOT let the polish dry to a haze like you do with the wax or it will be a real bugger to remove. You are supposed to work the polish with some serious elbow grease - remember, you are POLISHING here! But never let a polish dry, just wipe it off after you're done polishing.
Now the wax, let that stuff haze up. But always, always, always, apply a thin coat of wax. This is where most people screw up if they're gonna screw up. If you think you're putting it on too waaaay too thin, then you're doing it right. Better two very thin coats than one heavy one. That's true for carnauba wax and polymer sealants, no matter who makes it (Meguiar's, Mothers, Zaino, etc.)

I used those 3 Meg products in my "wax" job too. I did a good bit of research and used a 5-step system. Wash/dry (auto-dry system), clay bar, Meg 80 (insead of the paint cleaner), the Step 2 Polish, then the NXT Gen Tech wax. I got a circular polisher from Santa, so that made the elbow grease factor slightly lower. I was really nervous after the 80 was polished off. The haze and light circular swirling almost had me crap in my pants. BUT the polish was absolutely awesome, especially w/ the circular. The wax went on easy, I probably used a bit much but nonetheless, it looks great. It took me 12 hours over 3 evenings to get this result. I hope everybody likes it.
Also, I hear the NXT wax doesn't have quite the staying power as "ordinary" waxes, anyone suggest a time frame to apply another coat? 3 mos? 6 mos?

Just an FYI on the first post... I see the fender sticks out further than the door. Look behind the wheel, under the car, where the fender bolts on. The lip should be going straight up and down and I can guarantee that yours is bent over from jacking up the car. If you bend the lip back into shape, the fender should line back up. Good luck.

I have this problem and the fender mounting area is bent. In fact I'll probably fix that today since she goes to paint in less than 2 weeks..
